The lid and removable stand make this the best trifle bowl ever made. PC no longer sells it and finding used ones is a major challenge... I am glad I found the one I have but I wish to give them as gifts!

Before purchasing the pampered chef glass trifle bowl, i had received a different trifle bowl. This previous bowl did not have a lid or a stand. Once i saw this pampered chef trifle bowl with a lid and a stand, i immediately upgraded. Not only is the pampered chef bowl very durable and spacious, but the lid allows you to transport your items conveniently to your destination. the stand allows you to proudly display your masterpiece. I have a trifle dessert that I make often, and i feel much more secure about taking it places with a lid. I have also used this bowl for 7 layer dips, and salads, as the bowl is large and has a lid for transporting. the bowl is very easy to clean. I typically wash it by hand, and occasionally will put the lid in the top rack of the dishwasher. the one down side of the bowl is that it is slightly heavy. Overall, I would highly recommend this bowl!

I wanted a trifle bowl for a long time, so I could make yummy desserts that looked pretty, too. However, like a cake stand with a massive dome, I had no clue how I'd put a trifle in my refrigerator--nevermind the idea of getting plastic wrap all goopy and ruining my perfectly whipped top! Well, Pampered Chef did it again! They make classy entertaining practical by giving this bowl a removable base and a perfectly fitted lid. My only complaint is that nothing really holds the bowl on the base; it sets in a slightly grooved circular inset, but with a heavy dessert, I feel nervous about the beautiful glass dish falling off when someone gets overly zealous about scooping out some yummy stuff. The good news is, it can be used without the base--just not as impressively, I guess. (Did I mention that I've moved 3 times since receiving it, and it's still in good shape?!)

I purchased this Trifle Bowl from Pampered Chef a few years ago. I love using this for the holidays as it is so pretty to see anything through the glass. This type of bowl has many uses. First of all, it is a bowl that can contain it's own self. By this I mean that the bowl comes as a 3 piece set. You have the bowl, the pedestal for the bowl to rest on, and a lid. The base is detached and will fit perfectly nestled inside the bowl itself. By attaching the lid upon putting the base in the bowl, you have a nice neat set all ready for the next use. There are many things you can do with a Trifle Bowl such as making an elegant dessert or beautiful table center piece for any occassion. An electric candle fits nicely inside and you can add some oranges and lemons for a nice centerpiece. If that is not your style, how about using it as a centerpiece for Christmas filled with minature Christmas lights and garland? Birthday party? How about filled with Hersheys Kisses or a variety of treats? There are many options once one sets their mind to it. This bowl is smaller than a punch bowl, but for small gatherings it will work well to hold your punch or eggnog on the pedestal base on a counter or table top. The base, because it is detached from the rest of it, needs to be where it won't get bumped from under the bowl. Being sure it is centered well will help with this. I recommend this as a nice, beautiful Trifle Bowl to have on hand for your next house party. Easy to wash and easy to store as it will fit snuggly back into the original box for packing away until your next use. This is heavy glassware, not flimsy or thin as some pieces may be. I have had mine for about 4 years now and it still holds up well and looks good. You can obtain on just like this still by contacting a Pampered Chef consultant or looking online.

Disclaimer:  I sell Pampered Chef because I love it, rather than the other way around.   I didn't even know what a Trifle Bowl was before I found Pampered Chef, but this was a host special for the first show I ever hosted and I hate to pass up a good bargain - even when I don't know what it's for. Since then, I have discovered the value of a good trifle - and a good trifle bowl.  I have explored many trifle recipes and love them all - though I only make them when I'm feeding many as this bowl holds a LOT of trifle!  This bowl also makes for elegant presentation for layered salads or even fruit salad.  In addition, the bowl can also be used as a punch bowl - talk about versatility. I actually currently have my trifle bowl sitting in the middle of my dining room table filled with Christmas ornaments as part of my Christmas decor.  The Trifle Bowl is not just for food! A favorite feature of this bowl is that the stand is separate from the bowl for easy storage (or if you decide you don't want the height on your table when presenting food).  This also makes the bowl easy to clean as the top can go in the diswasher. Another great addition is the lid.  This makes it easy to prepare a trifle/salad/punch beforehand and store it in the fridge for the next day (and removing the stand also makes for easy fridge storage). Therefore, if you're going to get a Trifle Bowl, this one, for the little extras you won't find in your bargain Trifle Bowl, is worth the investment.

This item is brilliant! If you have limited space in your kitchen cabinets and your refrigerator and like to plan ahead and make a dessert hours (or a day) before you plan to serve it, this is the only way a trifle bowl makes sense! The fact that the stand is detatched from the bowl and it comes with a lid that fits well means that you can store it easily, find room for it in your refrigerator, and even have your trifle ready for presentation without getting it all messy with plastic wrap! I've used this with a few different trifle recipes, and it's just the right size. I don't know about the advertized alternative idea of using as a punch bowl, though. I'm not sure I trust the separate stand to hold up to liquid, especially if it's red! lol Maybe they could find a way to slide the stand onto grooves in the bowl or something. But for the usual use of a trifle dessert, it works perfectly. Thanks, Pampered Chef, for another ingenious tool!

Puting your desert in this bowl makes it look so eligent and pretty. I love that it is quite large. I love that it has a lid, although my lid does not fit as snuggly as I would like it to. But that is about my only complaint. It is a little on the pricey side but if you are one that loves to entertain this is a must have for your home. The glass is very thick and it is nice that the bottom where the stem goes is cut out a little so you don't have to worry about it easily slipping off its stem and falling and breaking. It is so nice that all the parts come apart so that it doesn't take up very much space while trying to store it. It has a smooth design which makes it very easy to clean but on top of that it is dishwasher safe you can't beat that. Although the lid is not dishwasher safe so be careful with that. We use this bowl for more than just triffles too, it works fantastic with layered salads and also works well as a punch bowl. This is a multi function bowl.

I've had this Pampered Chef Trifle Bowl for years, and I always question why I don't use it more, especially right after I use it and get a ton of compliments! It's a gorgeous way to display an easy dessert. Trifles are so easy since you can use pound cake or angel food cake with some colorful fresh fruit and your favorite recipe for cream. The three piece construction is genius! If the base was not detachable, there'd be a greater risk of it getting broken. And, let's face it, plastic wrap and aluminium foil neither look nice or work well. The plastic lid is fairly secure and looks nice. I have used this for desserts at home on Easter and taken it to picnics. People always comment on how pretty the dessert looks. It is deceptively big. You can make a nice sized dessert in this dish. The glass is nice and thick, so even if it did get knocked off the base, there's a good chance it wouldn't break! I think this is a must have!

The Pampered Chef Trifle Bowl is one of those products that makes YOU look good! :) Clear glass allows whatever you put inside to shine through. A "trifle" is simply a layered dessert. It can be anything from brownies, cool whip and fruit to banana pudding or even something fancy or specific. You can even go as simple as angel food cake and strawberries and cool whip or pudding. It can make something ordinary look extra-ordinary :) The benefit of the pampered chef trifle bowl over another are two very distinct differences. One, the base is a separate piece which allows you to store it flat and also travel with it with ease. It also comes with a lid which most don't. That means whatever you put in it you can store. The base stores inside for easy storage. It can also be used as a vase for flowers or fruit, or a candle centerpiece. Place the base inside the bowl, place the candle on top and fill the bowl with decorations. So cute, creative and easy!

The Pampered Chef Trifle Bowl is cute and great for displaying beautiful, edible creations.  With a completely clear glass bowl, stand and lid this bowl is perfect to show off delicious desserts, fruit bowls or even seasonal decorations like christmas ornaments and garland in December.  This bowl is heavy duty and Pampered Chef stands behind their products. Here's a story to prove it: I received a Large Round Stone from Pampered Chef as a gift and when I opened the box I found it to have a broken handle.  After contacting a local Pampered Chef consultant she quickly submitted my complaint and I received another Large Stone in the mail the following week at no charge with no questions asked. What great customer service. Though a little more expensive than most products of different brands this is a quality product and I would highly recommend purchasing from Pampered Chef.  I have never been disappointed with any PC product.
