Love this tv

5

I have had an LCD for a long time, owned this plasma for a year and the reliability and picture quality are stellar. We are very pleased with the unit, it is a good sized tv that we got for about 1K even. Easy to use, auto shut off prevent the thing from sitting on for ever, and their "rotating" pixels are supposed to take care of an image ghosting. WE have left frozen on an image for all of dinner and longer with no issue, when I saw some ghkosting all I did was use the screen clearing feature that runs a white line across over and over the the image was gone.

Excellent tv for the price

Bought this tv back in the summer and must say this is one of the better purchases I've made. I was looking for a large screen hdtv that has minimal input lag since I plan to play games that require as less lag as possible. this tv produced around only 30ms of input lag which worked great for most games I throw at it. Rockband plays flawlessly on it and looks beautiful. Its definitely a great tv for the buck. In addition, it comes with a few HDMI ports and a few component ports which made connecting my Xbox, PS3, Wii, and computer in perfectly. The display is bright and clear and no signs of any dead spots at all. Sound is mediocre but what can you expect from tvs with such tiny speakers built in to them. I have it connected to a surround sound system and it sounds great. The tv does take a little longer to turn on and the remote sensor does take a second or two longer than most tvs in response but i'm in no rush.

Flawed but Very Good

This TV has superior black levels and accurate and the inherent benefits of being a plasma: screen uniformity and great viewing angle. It will visually satisfy all except perhaps the pickier videophiles. Panasonic added an "anti-glare" layer which mildly reduces reflections but does glares still persist in well lit areas. The bezel is a minimal black design with a textured feel and the back of the television is made of sturdy metal. The television has a sufficient number of HDMI ports but lacks DVI output. Finally, I've read issues about accelerated rates of diminishing contrast for this unit. For some this may be a non-issue, but any potential buyer should search more information online about this before buying.
