This camera was bought for me as a present. I wanted to dSLR , however it wasn't with in our budget range. I recieved this last christmas and have loved it ever since. There are so many great features in this camera. I love all the different modes that is has. I use Auto a lot when i don't have time to play with the manual mode. It love how it has auto focus or manual focus. I love that i can use either the view finder or the flip out lcd screen. I could say lots of great things about this camera.. However there is one thing that i do find annoying. Its hard to get pictures to stay focused..

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 has a great 12X optical zoom which can manually be adjusted.  This makes it easy to frame your shoot just the way you want without pushing a button or lever back and forth. It can also be manually focused.  This makes it easy to fine tune your focus on just what you want. Its macro focus is superb for close up shoots.  It is easy to use and has a pop up flash as well as a hot shot for a separate flash unit.  It has a handy swivel LCD screen which is great for shooting over your head or below your waist.  It's 10 mega pixel sensor gives great quality images for enlargements. It shoots video which allows you to zoom in and out while you are filming. Its auto focus is very quick and its shutter lag is excellent. Its great for candids, sport photography, nature photos, and formal portraits.  Its macro focus is great for shooting close-ups of flowers and insects. Its so easy to use that my wife and kids love borrowing it. Overall I highly recommend this camera.

Whether you are beginner or a professional photographer, this camera will work for anyone!!  It takes the best pictures I have ever taken before!!  And I just put it on the automatic function.  If you are an expert on photography, it will meet or beat your expectations.  AWESOME!!! Worth every penny!!  I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants professional looking pictures every-time!  I love it.

This is my first 'high end' digital camera...and I love it. It is really easy to use and it takes outstanding photos. Like most techy gear, it gets easier to use the more time you spend experimenting with it, which I did. I do recommend reading the instruction manuel, but if you are familiar with higher end cameras and/or technical photography stuff, you will have no problems using this camera. The bottom line is that I really like this camera and have nothing negative to say about it.
