My hair has been drying out and breaking off a lot recently even though I have not colored my hair in years. So, my mother got me this shampoo to see if it would help my hair. I decided to try it out even though the ingredients were not the best (sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate,ect..) and I like to use sulfate free products better. The first time I used it I noticed the shampoo did lather very well. It also did not leave my hair feeling dry afterwords like some shampoos do. As for the seven signs of aging it fights (breakage, split ends, frizz, unruly grays, lackluster color, thin look, dryness) I would say it prevents them pretty well. This is not the best shampoo I have ever used, nor is it a miracle worker. However, if I see it on sale, I will definitely get it again.

I am reviewing this shampoo based on it's sample pack I received a month back. Pantene Pro-V Expert Collection Age Defy shampoo is a combination of Olay Age Defy and Pantene technologies. The pouch says that the shampoo is designed by Olay Experts to fight 7 signs of aging hair which includes Breakage, Split ends, frizz, Unruly grays, Lackluster color, thin look and dryness. I can talk about six out of seven since I do not have gray hair. I have shoulder length hair and the sample lasted me 2 washes. I must say I was quite impressed after the first wash itself. The shampoo is thick, foams well and has a very subtle smell, which was great. I usually rinse the hair twice, but with this shampoo I did not feel the need to do that. Hair felt fresh after the first rinse. They were easy to comb through as well. I might be buying this shampoo after I run out of the current one I am using. It doesn't seem costly either, I will recommend this shampoo for anyone with dry and damaged hair.

I have curly (more wavy) and fine hair. I bought this shampoo because I also bought Pantene Thickening serum (which I like). I have used this shampoo for approximately 3 weeks. At first, I noticed a difference in my hair: it was softer and a little shinier. The lather felt rich. However, after approximately 3-4 weeks, I have had to switch my shampoo because I noticed my hair was getting a little dry. I was also using a Pantene conditioner once a week. I switched to a no-sulfate shampoo from another manufacturer whose name begins with L', which I will only use for approximately one week, because it can over-condition my hair. So, I think this product is good, but I recommend switching to a different shampoo after a few weeks of use. And that is why I only gave it a "7" out of 10. Effectiveness 7 out of 10 because I've had to switch shampoos after 3 weeks of use. Scent 7 out of 10 because it smells okay. There are better smelling products out there.

I received a free sample of Pantene Pro-V Expert Collection AgeDefy Shampoo in the mail. I have just tried it, and I have to say, I like it very much. I usually prefer shampoos which have either a fresh/fruity scent or no scent at all. When I first opened the sample of Pantene Pro-V Expert Collection AgeDefy Shampoo I thought it had a bit of an old-lady scent. But not too strong, so it did not bother me too much. Now that my hair is dry, I feel like there is almost no scent left, which is fine in my opinion. The Pantene Pro-V Expert Collection AgeDefy Shampoo has left my hair feeling nice and soft. I have long hair, which tends to tangle a lot, but this shampoo makes my hair easier to comb out. Pantene Pro-V Expert Collection AgeDefy Shampoo states to be good for damaged hair. I have split ends, so I would definitely consider buying the retail size of this shampoo in order to see if it could make a difference for my hair. Effectiveness It cleaned my hair well and left it feeling nice and soft. Scent It does not have much of a scent, but that is perfectly alright with me.

I am a shampoo snob. I do not think that drug store brands have traditionally delivered results and that they are pretty interchangeable regardless of what they claim to do. But Pantene has a new Age Defy collection of hair products and I will do ANYTHING to defy age so I thought I would give it a try. This product is a marriage of Olay age defy and Pantene technology. Is it going to really deliver the 7 qualities that it is claiming to do: Breakage, Split Ends, Frizz, Unruly Grays, Lackluster Color, Thin Look, and Dryness. Does it defy age? My hair is in pretty good shape, hasn't thinned too much and is color treated. I want a shampoo that will clean it and feels good while I am shampooing and gives me shiny hair that styles as I want it. I am fairly impressed with the Pantene AgeDefy shampoo. It is creamy, you do not need a lot and lathers really well. There is a pleasant scent and it rinses clean. After using the shampoo my hair is shiny, soft, easy to style and looks good. I do not experience frizz after blowing it out. I usually shampoo every other day, I workout every day and my hair stays acceptably clean between shampoos. I have colored hair and I use this without any noticeable damage to the color. My ends still split, the grays are still wiry, but overall and for the price I am pleased. This shampoo is going into my regular rotation. Scent not overpowering

I received a sample of Pantene Pro-V Expert Collection AgeDefy Shampoo and Conditioner in the mail. Upon opening the sample, there did not appear to be enough for a single use on my shoulder length, curly hair. After adding a small amount of water to the product, I was able to apply it adequately to my hair. I am caucasian. My hair is natural curly, colored, dry, and often frizzes. I am only able to shampoo & condition my hair once or twice a week due to its dryness. After using the Pantene Pro-V Expert Collection AgeDefy, my hair and scalp felt clean, but seemed very dry. I let my hair air dry & it still seemed quite dry. I ended up rewetting my hair, and then applying coconut oil to my hair & scrunching the curls to add moisture. The frizz does not appear any worse than when using other products, but it also did not appear better until after applying the coconut oil. I will probably not be purchasing this product in the future.

I am 74 and have used Pantene for several years. When this one came on the market I tried it right away and I am very happy with it. Effectiveness My hair is white and this shampoo is the first that I have found to give me body and a shine. Scent I like the scent. It has one all its own.

To be honest, I bought this item mainly because I saw that Pantene had help from Olay. I love Olay products. Previously, I have been using the other Pantene Pro-V Expert product, Keratin repair. I read on the back that Pantene worked with Olay to make this product to help fight aging hair and keep it healthy. And we all know how hard Olay works to make products to fight aging for women! It has been a very good shampoo (along with the conditioner). The feeling is soft and provides manageable hair. I have had a very annoying hair issue that consisted of breakage due to a bad salon dye. This shampoo has helped along the road to recovery. Though it is good to note that I do swich off shampoos/conditioners every once in a while. There is no residue or film left after the wash (a complaint I have heard from people concering pantene products). The quality is a lot higher than many of their other hair products. Scent I can not even tell you what the scent of the shampoo is, which to me, is good news. There is no overbearing smell. I know there is some sort of smell, though it is faint and nothing flowery or over dramatic.

This makes my hair so soft and voluminous! I love it! It smells good and it lathers up a LOT! A little bit goes a long way. It is very creamy. It also gets rid of the ever worsening frizz battle. My hair feels so light and fluffy when I use this, but not in the sense that frizzy hair is fluffy. It just floats. In a good way. when paired with the hydrating masque you are in for some seriously soft and nourished hair. It is a beautiful thing! I recommend not getting to crazy with the amount you use to wash your hair. You can make this product lasts for a long time if you use it conservatively. You don't need much to get a nice lather. The bottle I have has lasted a good 6 months, and it is just now showing signs of running out. It lasts way longer than the "cheaper" shampoos I buy, so really it is about as cost effective to just buy this instead of the cheap awful stuff. Love it! Highly Recommend!

I have curly hair that has some gray in it. The shampoo and conditioner makes my hair so soft without weighing it down. It also doesn't flatten out the curl like some products do. I love it. Effectiveness Makes my hair so soft. Scent I have allergies and this product's scent doesn't bother me.
