I don't know how I managed brushing my teeth before I got my Sonicare!! Its like a professional cleaning every time. I was having some issues with a regular toothbrush, brushing too hard and hurting my gums. I tried this electric one, the brand recommended by my dentist, and I've been using it ever since. The first few times its a little shocking at the vibrations going on in your head; it is an intense feeling, not a painful one, but just a loud vibration one. But after a few days of it, you LOVE the squeaky clean feeling of your teeth. Performance/Cleaning The cleaning power is remarkable. I get that after dentist cleaning feel every time I clean my teeth. I was worried about pressing down too hard, but you just let the Sonicare toothbrush do its thing. I change my heads regularly every 3 months or so, it has a little blue section that fades when its due. But what I don't like is that it seems toothpaste/backwash falls in the sides of the brush and when I change the head there's this funky guck in between the battery base and the brush head. Its gross and you have to clean it all out with a cotton swab, but that's why it only gets a 9. It also has various timer buttons. You push the button for the normal 2 minute cleaning, or there is also a gentle gum massaging mode. Its also beeps in your mouth if its low battery-but the battery life seems to last 3-4 days (long enough for a weekend trip away). Durability I love this toothbrush and will never go back to a regular manual toothbrush again. Its lasted a good year or so, just have to buy the replacement heads.

The hygenist will love you for using this. Performance/Cleaning Love this product. It takes a little getting used to when you first start using it since it "tingles" your face. After the first week of using it, you want to always use the Sonicare. Durability Holds up very well.

I am a teenager and I absolutely hate brushing my teeth, but with my new philips sonicare sonic quadpacer electric toothbrush. even the worst toothpaste doesnt really matter to me. The ability for a electric toothbrush to be rechargable is absoulutely amazing, i always hated having to go through battery after battery with my old tooth brush but now i just plug this in after I brush and i will always be fully charged. This toothbrush has a nice feeling on your teeth so that it feels nice and gets al of the popcorn seeds out of your teeth or whatever else might be stuck from your day of chewing. It rotates the top part so that as it rotates it cleans in a circualar pattern that every dentist reecommends and is always nagging you about that can sometimes get really annoying. It always came out a pretty low price compared to other toothbrushes i've used. Overall I really like my toothebrush.

I have been using this toothbrush since Christmas and I can't say enough about how nice it is too feel confident I am brushing my teeth as good as I can. I would like to warn when you first use this toothbrush after using a manual you will almost fall to the floor because of the sensitivity. Thankfully, after a few more uses that sensitivity disappears. The toothbrush actually pauses after every 30 sec. to show you when to switch brushing zones which I would never do if brushing manually. It has a nice stand which also acts as a battery charger. I love how small the stand and toothbrush are. They take up little to no room on my bathroom counter. I haven't been to the dentist yet, but with this toothbrush I expect a no cavities visit. I would recommend this only for teens and adults because the sensitivity might be too much for little kids. If you feel you need to get more satisfaction from brushing pick this product up today, it will change your brushing forever.

Ever since my Dentist recommended this Sonicare Quad Pacer Electric toothbrush, brushing with a regular toothbrush is not the same. My teeth feel so much cleaner. My gums improved dramatically. I could not believe it. As we get older, we have to worrry more about our gums and gum lines, and this improved mine by my next cleaning. It was truly amazing. For years we did not have any dental insurance so I didn't go very often at one time for years. I was more concerned for the kids having their teeth cleaned and taken care of. We got the dental insurance, my gums were not in good shape. Started to use the Sonicare toothbrush and within a years time, I've only needed only 2 cleanings a year, which is regular routine. I am so happy with this investment of the Sonicare I can't live without it. It's been about 10 years now, still happy and it still works. Really it's paid for it's self many times over. One time we went on a trip for a few days, duh I forgot to pack the on part of the toothbrush. My husband and I couldn't wait until we got home to use our Sonicare, our teeth just didn't feel clean with a regular toothbrush. What is nice about the Quad Pacer, they say brush for 2 minutes. With this toothbrush it lets you know when to move onto the next section of your mouth. The 2 minutes fly by, you would not believe it. We at first would turn it back on, that enjoyable. With a regular toothbrush I do not think we were taking the time, felt like forever. I really can't imagine not having a Sonicare Toothbrush again. The only down side if one person travels, who gets to have the bottom part? (Guess who usually wins?) It's a give and take, sometimes he gets to use it other times I get to.

I finally bought a Sonicare Essence toothbrush after two visits to my dentist. He nicely requested that I throw out my Braun Oral B and switch. I was skeptical but he was right on. My teeth feel cleaner. I like how the sonicare works vs. the spinning of the Oral B. It's also easier to keep clean. The design is better and I'm glad I switched. I'll never go back!

Since buying and starting to use my Sonicare toothbrush, I have noticed that my teeth are much cleaner and my mouth feels much fresher. My denal hygenist remarked at my last visit that she has never seen my teeth in such good shape. I excitedly told her that I had started using a Sonicare and she said that she could definitely tell the difference! I would highly recommend a Sonicare for anyone interested in better oral health.

My dentist and hygenist both recommended this toothbrush to me because I tend to brush my teeth too hard-I like them to feel really clean. My husband and I both got one and we are both thrilled! Your teeth feel sooo clean, it has a "quad pacer" that beeps at you every thirty seconds so that you brush each quadrant of your mouth equally, which is great because I wasn't doing that before! It stays charged for around two weeks, and comes with a travel case. We won't ever use a manual toothbrush ever again!

In the past I have used manual toothbrushes, battery driven toothbrushes, and electric toothbrushes, in my opinion, by far the Philips Sonicare Essence e5500 Electric Toothbrush has been excellent! I wish I could have learned about the product earlier; It would have spared me allot of time. First, the design of the toothbrush and the carrying case makes for easy accessibility and use. I also like the fact that you can take the toothbrush with you on long business trips and the battery last a long time. On one business trip which lasted three days, I assume the battery would eventually run out. I have to say this was not the case. You cannot go wrong with this purchase.

This is an excellent purchase for dental health. It is very easy to use and stays charged for a very long time. it cleans upto 5X better than the manual brush as far as I can observe. I see less plaque build up and cleans the teeth gracefully. It makes my teeth feel that I just had an appointment with my professional dentis. This is my first electric toothbrush and it is easy to use and control. The "beep" lets you know its the time to move to another section of your mouth so you don't have to waste time cleaning at a particular section and time your brushing time and more amazingly it cleans between the teeth effectively leaving you very fresh. I would highly recommend this product to everyone who is looking forward for electric toothbrush.
