My son loved this toy since he was little. It is the perfect crib toy and sleeping pal! It lights up so it gives your child somewhat of a night light and plays relaxing music to help put them to sleep. It is the perfect size for small ones to hold as well.

The Playskool Lullaby Gloworm is a cute little toy but my one year old daughter hasn't become too excited about it.  I had a Gloworm when I was little so it is kind of a fond nastalgia thing for me.  (Though I like the cute little night shirt and hat they've added to today's gloworms) I like the music it plays so that's a plus, I don't have to worry about it sounding like a derranged clown. ;)   I'm kind of glad my daughter hasn't gotten attached to it because I'm not sure how I would clean it.  It's got electrical parts, so it's not like you can wash it.  And it has one of those plastic faces that inevitably seem to get black smudges on them and just look 'dirty'. Maybe when she gets a little older and more interested in the doll-like toys this will become a more-loved toy.  I guess I will update my review if she starts to play with it more and I notice any faults or things I love about it then.

We purchased the Playskool Lullaby Gloworn for my youngest son as a Christmas gift. When I saw it in the store I had wonderful memories from my childhood come to mind of my Gloworm so I thought that it would be a great investment for my nine month old son. I was sadly disappointed with the reality after my son only played with his for a short time and it did not hold his attention. While this new Gloworm is very cute and the music isn't bad; cleaning it has presented a problem. A stomach bug went through the house and I wanted to clean everything to make sure it didn't cycle back around and this was one of the toys that I didn't feel satisfied with after cleaning it several times. I really wish that the music would play longer because I think that it would help in getting my sons attention. On the plus side, the price is something that I consider very reasonable. Maybe this would have been better for an infant only a couple of months old.

The Playskool Lullaby Gloworm is a classic toy. Part of the reason we love it, is because I have fond memories of this toy as a child. Our daughter has a gloworm that was one of her first toys as a baby. The Gloworm is soft and is a perfect size for little arms. When you press the Gloworms belly, the sweet face lights up (but not too bright) and soft music lullabies play. There is no tricks and gadgets to this toy, it's just a simple, sweet and classic toy for little ones. This was one of my daughters favorite toys and she still plays with it some at 3 years old. The glow worm is affordable and well made. We have had this toy for over 3 years and have not needed to change the battery yet. As much as we do enjoy this toy, we also appreciate that it has an on and off switch for those needed quiet times. The Playskool Lullaby Gloworm is a cute toy for your little one to snuggle and enjoy for a long time.

I grew up in the 80's and remember Gloworms and how popular they were so I was excited to know that Playskool had a new line of gloworm toys for babies. My son received this as a gift when he was about 3 months old. The toy is so cute and plays three different songs and the face of the gloworm lights up. As my son got older he was able to squeeze the gloworm himself and play the music. My two complaints with the glowowrm are that the music is much to short and the hard plastic face of the gloworm was too hard for a small baby to play with. The music itself is very soothing but my son would be frustrated when it ended so quickly and he wanted to hear more. It was even more frustrating when he couldn't do it himself. The plastic face is essential for the glowing part of the worm but more than once he clonked himself in the face with the gloworm. It's just something to be aware of as a parent but all in all he loves this toy.

I got this for my youngest son for Christmas this last year. While I was out doing my shopping I saw it and was quite surprised, instantly memories of when I was a child with a Gloworm came to me and I smiled. This is definitly not the Gloworm I remember, its much better. Since it gets so much love I am glad it is machine washable, and it is durable to hold up to the numerous washes its needed after going through the ins and outs of being a favorite at night by a baby. It is a perfect nightlight as well, its face lights up and has a soft glow to it, my son likes to kiss it when its lit up. It is small enough for him to cuddle with and lay down at night, great for taking along on car trips and fits in the diaper bag. Before he turned one my son was able to activiate it himself and loved getting it to play music. My only complaint is it doesnt play music long enough, and we have tryed moving the switch on the back but that didnt change the duration of the music. Overall it was a good buy and my son loves his "Gorm" as he now calls it.

Before my daughter was born someone got a **Playskool Lullaby Gloworm** for her as a baby shower gift. I was so excited when I opened it! I had a Gloworm when I was little and I didn't even realize they still made them. They are just so cute! This is one of the toys that will always be a hit. Mine was a different color when I was little, but I really like my daughter's green and purple one. As soon as I got it home I put it in her room.  A few weeks later she was born and seemed to like the toy even as a newborn. She would look at it and listen to the music. As she got a little bigger she would hold it to keep herself entertained while I changed her diaper. I am so glad the music has a sweet little melody because we have played it so many times at our house! We've only had the toy about a year now but it still work and works perfectly. This is a great comfort toy for infants and small children because it us soft and has a nice glow and soft music.

I love the Playskool Lullaby Gloworm! I have gotten a Gloworm for all 4 of my kids but only my youngest got one that played lullabyes, The gloworm is so cute and reminds me of I was a kid and had a Gloworm of my own.The music is very soothing and perfect for a small child. The lights are very warm and comforting. My daughter loved her Lullaby Gloworn the moment she saw it and has loved it for over three years now.The switch is sensitive enouh that she can activate the music and lights on her own. I love that I can just toss it in the washer when its dirty instead of having to try to spot clean it. The Lullaby Gloworm is very surable and has lasted for many years.  The Gloworm is priced very well. I was very happy to see a toy that lights up and plays music in such a low price range. I recently found out I am going to be an aunt and I have already told everyone I will be buying the baby's first Gloworm.

When I saw that they are selling the glow worm again, it totally brought back memories of my childhood.  i just loved my glow worm.  My little guy had a really hard time getting to sleep when he was a newborn and this did the trick.  He was mesmorized by the soft glowing light that the face gives off.  It wasn't bright enough to keep him awake and it was just bright enough to keep him calm.  the music is great and it has 2 volume setting which is great.  The batteries last a long time but it is hard to open and get them out when it does come time to change and put new ones in.  It is a perfect size for a newborn to toddler.  The material that is used for the body is very soft and now that my son is older he really likes to carry it around.  He just loves his playskool glow worm just like it did when i was little.  i so wish that i had kept mine from when i was a child.  I am confident that you and your little one will love this glow worm too.  I can tell that my next little one due in may will enjoy it just as much as his big brother did.

We have 3 kids, and never had a gloworm.  Our friend had one for her child that is close in age to my first son.  He really liked it.  When our daughter was born, I contemplated on buying one for her, but never did.  Now our 3rd child, a son, just received one for Christmas, and I really wish I had it previously for my other two children!  It is so cute and soft (except for the stomach where you push to turn on)!  My 2 1/2 year old daughter carries it around and loves to listen to the songs sing.  She will even take it to her 5 month old brother when he is crying.  It really catches his attention!  It has a lot of different songs and I read that you can take the battery pack out and wash the gloworm periodically when it gets dirty.  It is pretty inexpensive for such a good toy.  It has also been around for a LONG time!  If you want to spend a little more money though, I would recommend the Leap Frog Scout Pal--really cute!
