Not the Daddy of Fry Daddies

3

I haven't had any other Fry Daddy's but there has to be something better out there. Performance I get fries, but I have to watch them closely. I wish I could guage the temperature. Ease of Use It is easy to use, but I would maybe like more options. Durability Nothing has broken and it seems to continue at its same level of quality. Ease of Cleaning Meh. I don't know. I make my husband clean it.

We love our FryDaddy!

Now, I know that frying food is not at all healthy, but this is great when you want to do something different for the family, especially if you're trying to get something done fast & and something easy. One complaint I do have is that it really doesn't cook much, so you have to change out the basket several times to make as much as a family of 5 needs. If it were just me and my husband, then it wouldn't be a problem. We actually got ours as a wedding present, so we didn't get to choose, but I really do love our FryDaddy. It does heat up fairly quick & cleanup is a snap. You pull the element out of the bottom and put the other pieces in the dishwasher, no need to hand wash anything, unless you just choose to.

Not happy owner of the Presto FryDaddy Deep Fryer

If you are looking for a wallet friendly oil popping deep fryer then this is the deep fryer for you. At first glace this looks like a really great deep fryer, but you will soone find out that it is quite the opposite. For one there is no way to adjust the temperature, you either have it on or you have it off, the basket itself is very flimsy also. You have to be careful when lowering it to not scratch up the inside of your fryer, and if you do not lower it super slowly you will have oil popping up all over you, so I would suggest wearing some protective type clothing while using it. There are lines inside the fryer to mark where you should stop adding oil at, but if you do that you will not be able to fry your foods as it is not high enough to cover the basket. The spoon that comes with it to get your food out with if you do not use the basket is very cheaply made and quite frequently the food drops off of it when you have it almost all the way out, thus throwing up hot oil onto you yet again. Another downside to this fryer is that you can only cook very small amounts of food in it at a time if you want it to fully cook your food. So in my personal opinion I would not recommend the Presto FryDaddy Deep Fryer to anyone.

Fry Daddy works well

This is my first and the smallest of the 3 fryers that I have. It works well has a lid to cover the used oil is easy to clean( I put it in the dishwasher) YES I do. I do not put in under the water but, I have run it threw the dishwasher many times and never had a problem. And I always let it dry over night before I use it.            There are a few things that would make this little fryer excellent ! First of all there is no temperature control so its either on or off! Second the level that is marked to fill with oil is not high enough for the basket. Third it has a metal spider which can scratch the inside non stick coating . 4th because, you cannot control the temp level basically the only thing you can use it for is  frying where others are used for many other thing like soups ,stews , browning meat.            But this little cheap fryer lasts it cooks very small portions I guess in a way that is a good thing because, we are talking about fried food anyway!!
