This Proctor Silex 1-1/2 quart round slow cooker is one of three that I own. I have more than one because I use them based on purpose and capacity. This is the unit I use when I am making enough food for less than three people. Of the three, this is the easiest to use. Unlike other smaller slow cookers this one has the advantage of having three settings (high, low and keep warm). Most smaller cookers do not have three settings. I have used my unit many times and have never had any problems with overheating. Relative to clean up, the ceramic crockery is removable which makes for easy cleaning. The outside of the unit is easily cleaned with a damp dishcloth. The lid is a sturdy glass one which fits snugly on the ceramic. I put the lid into the dishwasher. Another nice feature is how small it is, so it fits easily on the counter top and storage space, which is at a premium in my pantry, is not sacrificed. Lastly, the cord is really much longer than on the other two of my units, which is also a nice feature.

We have really enjoyed our Proctor Silex 1.5 quart slow cooker. We have a large one as well, but this is great for smaller batches of whatever you are making whether it be beans, soups, rice, chicken, meat, etc. It cooks evenly and with the length of cooking adds so much more flavor to your food. It is really easy and quick to put something together as long as you are not planning on eating it right away. Leaving the cooking for 3 hours plus always gives you the best results. Even the overnight things comes out delicious and tender for the next day's meal. This is really nice for singles or couples as well since you can prepare a smaller amount and not have food wasted. The temperature is easy to set to whatever level you desire and you can turn it up or down if you see its not cooking at the rate you want it to. Super simple to set up and clean and a great appliance for anyone's kitchen. Cooking Performance Great! Design Practical and simple. Durability Very long lasting.

My little crock pot has the same model number but it's oval. This one appears to be round but it's hard to tell for sure in the picture. I live alone and use this little 1.5 qt crock all the time. It's the perfect size to put 1 or 2 country ribs in for myself. I also live in Arizona so I definitely don't want to be turning on the oven to fix ribs or a roast when I can toss them into my little crock pot and not heat up the whole house. Everything I've fixed in my Procter Silex 1.5 Qt Crock has turned out perfectly. I've had it for a couple years now and use it regularly and it still heats up immediately. If the recipe says 4 hours on high, that's what it takes. When it says 8 hours on low, that's how long it takes. I turn it on and put about 1/4 C. water in the bottom while I'm preparing the veggies or meat. By the time I'm done with prep, the crock is hot and ready to start cooking. I especially like the "warm" cycle so when it's finished cooking, if I'm not ready to eat yet, I can just set it on warm and keep it going until I am ready to eat. Living alone, I don't have a set schedule for meals. As far as performance, I've even fixed cakes in mine and they've turned out perfect. I've never put anything in it that didn't cook they way it was suppose to. I may have fixed a recipe I didn't particularly like, but the crock cooked it they way it was suppose to. This little crock is so easy to handle, it's very light weight and doesn't take up a lot of room to store and cleans with a breeze. I used it 2 days ago to make a beef pot roast with potatoes and carrots, let it cook for about 6 hrs and the beef came out juicy and tender and the veggies were just right. I even make gravy in mine. When it came to cleanup, it had baked on residue left from the beef roast and with a sponge, it came right off. I will definitely buy another when and if this one stops working. For 1 person, it's a must have item!

This mini pot is small. It does not cook. It just heats. If you do not stir the sides burn and the center of the pot is cold. Time to Heat It takes a while to heat up. Cooking Performance This pot heats it does not cook. Ease of Use You have to stir often to heat throughly, or the center will not get hot & the sides will burn.

Now that my children are grown I do not need to cook large meals. So just for my husband and myself this small Proctor Silex 1.5 quart slow cooker is ideal. I can put food in it and leave it to cook on slow. And we usually have enough for each of us to get 2 or 3 servings. This is great for Pinto beans. It gives them a rich flavor and delicious bean soup. This slow cooker is simple and easy to use. it heats up quickly and cooks food thoroughly. I highly recommend this product. I use my Proctor Silex 1.5 quart slow cooker on a regular basis. it cleans easily and I have no complaints. The price is also reasonable. Time to Heat heats quickly Cooking Performance very well

My husband and I have very different working schedules, so cooking a good meal can be a hassle. I love the Hamilton Beach 1.5 quart slow cooker for this very reason! I can throw in the ingredients for a delicious meal, leave it to cook while I head to work or multitask around the house, and when the timer is done, so is a delicious dinner! It's a great value and is easy to use, even for a novice cook like myself. I feel very safe leaving it on and unattended. It has helped me to feed my family and save a lot of money, but it doesn't require the constant attention that cooking a big meal sometimes demands. I feel like the purchase of this slow cooker has been more than paid for in the savings I've seen by not running out to eat every night. Even my husband is comfortable using this. I use a slow cooker liner and after my meal, cleanup is a breeze--I just toss the liner and wipe out the cooker! It's perfect for a family always on the go that still wants to eat together.

This crockpot is very easy to use.  It is also very easy to clean as long as you clean it immediately after using.  Don't let anything get caked on it, or else it is a pain to clean!  I have been using it about twice a week for the past two months!  So enjoyable to just do a quick prep in the morning and then another quick prep in the evening for great tasting meals!

I think that the best Christmas gift I have ever received was my Crock Pot that my mom gave me many years ago! When I got it though, I was single and now that I have a family of five, I need to upgrade to a bigger one, but this one works for the single adult or college student or even the newlywed couple! Crockpot.com even has a ton of recipes you can use. I love this product because it is so simple. All you have to do is throw together the ingredients and put them in the pot and it cooks for you. So little work and the food comes out GREAT. Crock pots are especially good on busy days where the very last thing you need is to have to prepare a meal, then you will have extra time to kick back and relax. Slow cooked meals are also great for pot luck dinner or large gatherings of families or friends or even church suppers. You do not have to be  good cook to use a crockpot, so they are also good for helping the inexperienced cook, get some great home cooked meals! I would definetly recommend this product to ANYONE!

We received this as a gift and I can honestly say that there is not one week that goes by where I don't utilize it.  My favorite meals are ones that I don't have to cook right before we eat.  It is so nice during the fall or winter months to use crockpots and have them simmering all day long.  Our house smells so good after making something in it.  I have done everything from pot roasts to meatballs to dips & even applesauce (in fact I'll be making some of that tomorrow!).  I really love the Hamilton Beach brand items.  They have some great ideas for making kitchen appliances.  There are different settings available on this crockpot unlike my old one which only had on or off options.  I like being able to set the general temperature for things to cook at.  Some things should be simmered all day when some could only take a few hours.  The only downfall I have to these is the cleaning but who likes dishes anyways?
