This product was purchased on the spur of the moment and not at one of my regular store. I saw that it was a new item and I have always had good experiences with Purex products in the past and thought it was worth a chance. I was wrong, very wrong about this product. Of course, this is exactly what I would expect when tying to save a few pennies and not sticking with products that I have had nothing but positive experiences from in the past . This is not to say that other Purex product performed as poorly as this one, but the ball was dropped on this product. Performance This product did not clean my clothes at all. I thought since it was ultra concentrated it would really do a good job cleaning ground in dirt, unfortunately it did not. Scent I have no idea what to call the scent of this product. I have been trying to find an analogy for it and I and unable to come up with one. I don't like the smell of this, as it really makes my clothes smell like a dirty washing machine, almost a mildew smell. It s really gross smelling.

The Purex Ultra Concentrate with Color Safe Bleach detergent is a concentrated laundry detergent that has color safe bleach that you can use with colored clothes to get out tough to beat stains, as well as brightening and protecting colored clothing. I'm actually really surprised at all of the bad reviews that this detergent has. I'm a huge fan of Purex detergents and this Color Safe Bleach detergent was just as good as the other Purex detergents I've tried. It did an amazing job at getting rid of all of those tough heavy stains out of my colored clothes that other laundry detergents just couldn't get out. All of my colored clothes look bright and brand new. I felt like this detergent actually protected my colored clothing and didn't fade them at all, unlike most detergents that fade my clothes quickly. I felt like because this was concentrated I barely had to use a capful of detergent, and the bottle of detergent lasted me a lot longer. I no longer buy detergents that aren't concentrated because I feel like they don't clean my clothes as well. I will definitely be purchasing this detergent again for my colored clothing, because it lifts all the stains out without damaging them. Performance It completely removed all the stains from my colored clothes without fading them at all. They look brand new and bright, and I barely had to use much laundry detergent at all. They were completely fresh, clean, and smelled amazing without any irritation. Scent I actually really like the way this detergent smells. I feel like Purex has some of the best smelling and non-irritating detergents. The scent I used was Mountain Breeze, and it was a very fresh and clean smelling scent.

I had a bunch of coupons for this and got it practically free so I figured that I might as well go against my better judgement and buy it anyways. First thing I noticed when I started using this product was the scent. I like most laundry detergents, even with bleach, and they usually have a very nice scent to them that makes your clothes smell good, this is not one of those detergents. I used this in my first load of colors and was so sad when I pulled them out and saw the the stains on my kids clothes were not even touched. I had to wash their clothes three times before they even started to get out and with having to use that much water, detergent, and energy, it just is not worth it for me to have to keep doing loads over again and waste all of that time and money. This did work a little bit better on whites, but on colors it really did fall flat on getting anything in there to not have stains on it and be really clean.

Being the clean freak that I am, I am always up for buying new cleaning products and trying them out in my home. About two years ago, I purchased Purex Ultra Concentrate with Color Safe Bleach. I first used it in the washer machine on the colored clothes. When I took the clothes out of the washer machine, they were clean, but just not 100% clean. I compared them to when I would wash clothes using Tide laundry detergent and it was as good. I will say that it did clean well, but it did not remove all the stains on the children's clothes. Purex Ultra Concentrate with Color Safe Bleach is sold for a high price so I only purchase it when it is on sale. Yes I still purchase it although it does not clean 100%, but it still cleans well. I even mix it with other cleaning products to make my own cleaning product that I use to clean the bathrooms with. Again, it washes and cleans the colored clothes well, but it does not remove all the stains on the children's clothes. I still buy it when it is on sale and use it on the laundry.

This Purex Ultra Concentrate with Color Safe Bleach is okay, but it's just not my cup of tea. Compared with Tide, I would most definitely use Tide. I never heard of the brand Purex Ultra but decided to buy it because of the cheap price. After I used it on my load of clothes, I realized that the texture of my clothes weren't that soft pillowy material when I used the Tide laundry detergent. That's actually my main complaint about this product. Also, the smell of it is not that great. I much prefer the smell of the Tide April Fresh. When using the Purex Ultra, my clothes don't smell like that fresh scent. However, it does do the job and my clothes are really clean after being washed with this laundry detergent. It's also good for sensitive skin and doesn't irritate my skin. This Purex Ultra has Color Safe Bleach so the color on the clothes won't color out, wash out, or fade. This product is good, but I prefer Tide.

I have used various types of laundry detergent. My family has a hard time finding laudry products that we can all use due to skin allergies. I decided to use Dial Professional : Purex Ultra 2x 100 Oz Concentrated Natural Liquid Detergent that was Free & Clear because it said it was hypoallergenic. Here's the good first. It was inexpensive compared to other laundry brands. It was concentrated. In fact, one bottle is equal to two bottles of other brands that are not concentrated and the cost is the same for one bottle. It's like getting a two for one deal. It did not cause any skin allergic reactions in anyone in my family. It got out dirt from the clothes, leaving them clean. Now for the not so good. It did not leave my laundry smelling clean. It may be free and clear, but my towels smelled like they had been to the gym after a long workout. I was very disappointed that my clothes smelled like this. I would not recommend this product.

I like to try different detergents to see if they can give Tide a run for their money...and this is surely not one of them.  The smell alone is unpleasant.  As far as getting the stains out - it didn't.  It also faded the color of the close in my dark wash.

For many years, I stuck with well known, name brand laundry detergents. Purex, to me, often seemed generic and not on par with more well known brands such as Tide and Gain. However, I noticed a great sale and decided it was time to give Purex a try. Purex liquid detergent has been one of the only detergents that I have found to hold a scent, and at that, I love most of their scents. They are light and airy rather than overpoweringly powdery or perfumy. My clothes smell fresh when I put them on, even if it is days after I have done the laundry. My clothes both smell and look fresh after using the Purex liquid detergent. Best of all, Purex is always cheaper than bigger brands and I have often been able to find coupons for it. Matching a good coupon with a great sale and Purex is literally the best value I have found when it comes to liquid laundry detergent. And it out performs the competition! FYI- I am not pleased with anything other than the liquid version.
