I love trying masks so decided to give this certain one a shot and fell in love. It works REALLY well. It takes out all my pores and is smooth and sensitive on my skin. No ugly red rash on my face after which happens to me on quite a lot of masks after I take them off. And the scent of the mask? ah, it's wonderful. Not heavy or overwhelming at all. I try to use this product once or twice a week to maintain my pores and keep up in line and this has been a great use of my time. It makes my face feel smooth and taken care of. It does not cause me to break out in any way too. This product gives you a clear and healthy look and for the price it sells for, you can be a little worried if it will even work (I know I was) but it does and it's one of my best hidden gems on my washroom sink. It is lightweight and moisturizes your skin while removing pores and blackheads. Who wouldn't want that? It's goodness in a bottle!

This has to be one of my most favorite mud masks available. It's inexpensive and it hardens better than any mask I have tried. It hardens so tight that it is almost uncomfortable but it's quite pleasant. The mask is thick in the tube but it's moist and soft feeling to the touch. It's easy to apply because you simply spread a nice even layer across the face. I recommend being careful around eyebrows, eyes, the hairline and facial hair because the clay dries hard and can be a little difficult to remove. The removal process is easier if you peel and flake off as much of the mask as you can before using a warm cloth to remove the rest. The mask completely hardens so it can be difficult to get used to at first. A warm cloth or shower sprayer will take off any extra mask. My face is always left more radiant, moisturized, and with significantly less noticeable blackheads after using this mask. Effectiveness This is one of the best masks I have used in the mud and clay family because it hardens so firmly. It helps my blackheads tremendously. Ease of Application It's easy to apply but like most masks, be cautious of hair and sensitive areas because it hardens. Scent The smell of this isn't the greatest. It smells like mud and dirt usually smell but that's about it. It is a natural smell but I do wish it were more pleasant. It's not a bad scent, it's just not a good one.

I have sensitive, combination, acne prone skin, so I have used a huge variety of products over the years. Queen Helene is one of my top favorite masks. I love the Mint Julep that Queen Helene makes, but the Mud Pack Masque is still a very good mask. I don't think it works as well as Helene's Julep Masque as this doesn't seem to tighten my skin quite as good as Julep. It's still great at controlling acne and blackheads, and works much better than more expensive name brand products. The main problem I have found with this mask is that it is much tougher to remove than the green Mint kind Helene makes. I don't use this kind that often because the stores in my area don't carry this brand. I usually purchase this off the internet for a higher price, so, I usually use the Mint Julep as it works better anyhow. Effectiveness When I've used this mask every other day, my acne stayed under control and I would rarely get a pimple or blackhead when using it. I usually try not to use masks every day because I have a tendency for dry skin. If you have an oily complexion, using this mask every day wouldn't hurt your skin. I don't think it works as well at tightening skin as other Helene products, however, so it's rare that I purchase this mud masque. Ease of Application This masque may be easy to apply, but it can be hard to remove. I usually have to get a really hot washrag to get it off your face, and even then it can be hard even though I put on a very thin layer of this when I use it. Scent It has a very light scent. Since it's clay it has a dirt smell to it. It's not overpowered with a perfume scent, which is what I like about this product.

I have tried several of the Queen Helene masks since I was very young - the product line has been around for many decades . I am a fan of mud masks - they are clay based and clay is long well - known for tightening up skin and having exfoliating properties . My only complaint with this mask is that iwhen it dries , the clay really gets hardened making it very difficult to remove even with a hot , wet washcloth without a lot of rubbing . If you rub your skin so hard as you need to in order to remove this mask , it kind of defeats the purpose . Your skin will look and feel younger , your pores will be minimized as clay really does a great job at deep -cleaning pores , but this mask has left my skin red and very warm to the touch . It is somewhat irritating , maybe partly because I have to rub and scrub so hard to remove it . If you buy this , it works well , but only leave it on for a minute or two or it will get so hard that it is far too difficult to remove .

I have been using this product for the longest time, since I discovered it one day browsing in the drugstore. It is a simple application and does wonders for the end of the week tired, droopy look when all have when we can't wait for Friday to get it. This product refreshes the skin very easily. I would definitely explore the entire line of products available Effectiveness It does exactly what it says it will do and then some. It eases the look of saggy, tired and overworked facial muscles. There is really no scent, so that won't be a problem for anyone. I love that it is cool, so it does wake up the skin as well, especially when you first put it on. You are left with relaxed and perky skin Ease of Application Very easy to apply. On some occasions if it is too cold where you store it, or just chilly in the house, it may be hard to dispense from the container. Easy fix: just put the container into a bowl of warm water, or rub between your hands, problem solved Scent No scent.

Queen Helene Mud pack Masques are basically your traditional mud masks. They work extremely well, especially for their price. They cost only a fraction of what your standard facial masks cost, and they are not only as effective as most of them, but in my opinion they are one of the most effective facial masks. I just have one warning about this incredible mask. One time I had bought a tube of this, and somehow it got pushed back behind some things, and I forgot about it for awhile. Then, I was looking for it, and when I found it, it had become too stiff to even get out of the tube, let alone, massage on to my face. That was the only time I ever had anything like that happen. If you use it regularly, like once a week, or even once a month, this won't happen. Effectiveness This mask firms your skin and helps reduce lines and wrinkles, very well. Ease of Application This is very easy, unless you let it get hard while it's still in the tube. Scent The scent is nothing to write home about, but it's not overly offensive, either. Since it gets rinsed and wiped off, it doesn't linger, anyway.

I'm on a roll with these products and I recently got this mask to see what else this line has to offer and I'm glad I did. This one has some definite facial calming properties, so if your skin is looking or feeling too revved up, this is the one to try. I think you'll love it. Effectiveness Very soothing, very skin-smoothing, this one is a decided winner when it comes to mud packs. It does the job for sure. Ease of Application Scores another 10 in this department. Easy to use, just wash your face, smooth this on. It works quickly, too, so you don't have to sit for 20 minutes. Mine worked in 5 minutes. Scent I don't think scent is really an issue here. It's straight clay, so it's not going to have much of a scent anyway.

This mask is a skin saver, when ever my face gets clogged with makeup or if I have a day where I forget to take it off over night this clay mask sucks the dirt and oil right out of your pores. It does not have a strong smell and it is a great price. It can be quite drying so I would definitely follow up with moisturizer. My only issue with it is that it contains parabens and is not as organic as some other masks, but it really works and gets my skin feeling renewed. Unlike some other masks you can literally see this one drying on your face and it makes your skin feel tight and your pores smaller. You get quite a bit in the tube for your money so if you use it as directed about once or twice a week it should last you over 4-5 months.

I started using Queen Helene Mud Masque after I ran out of the Mint Masque. After using both, I have come to the conclusion that they both work basically the same. The only exception is the smell. The mud masque smells a little different, but not noticably different to divert from the use of it. So this has become a part of my skin care routine. Like what the label implies, I use it as a mask but I also use it for spot treatment. Like for example, I have a huge under the skin zit that hurts to the touch on my chin. So before I go to sleep, I put a dab of the mud masque on and around the affected area. I wake up the next morning and the zit has significantly reduced in swelling/size. I also use the spot treatment routine with toothpaste, which also works. What I like about the mud masque is that it can be used everyday or a few times a week, depending on your personal preference. This product works for me, maybe it'll work for you too.

I love feeling pampered, but I have a hard time finding a little bit of alone 'me' time to get to spas and salons. This mud pack is the perfect soltion to my problem, because I can do it by myself at home when I have a spare minute. This mud pack works really well and tightens my skin! I can literally feel my pores shrinking and getting cleaner by the second when I use this mud pack. It shocks me that this mud pack had no gross and harsh chemicals in it that might harm my skin!!! I absolutely adore that I can use this mud pack all the time becuase it is so inexpenisve! I would absolutely recommend this mud pack to any woman (or man!) because it works really well on even the worst skin and helps clear it up, and even tighten it. I love love love this mud pack and am so happy that I found it when I did, so I can pass it on to my daughter when she gets old enough...which won't be too long because you're never too old or young to pamper yourself!
