Good but not great

When our family was sick with the flu, I went into the drugstore looking for cough drops to help ease our throats and coughs. I always prefer to go the natural way when possible so when I saw the Ricola line of cough drops I immediately took interest. I chose this particular cough drop because it had honey and lemon and I read those two things help with the flu. They tasted pretty good and I ate a few of them throughout my illness. But to be honest, they really didn't help a whole lot. They did ease my throat from feeling itchy and dry but they did not help as much as one of the cough drops with a strong menthol flavor. My cough was not bad to begin with so the Ricola cough drops didn't help too much with that either. I was impressed with the taste and the fact that my throat was less itchy but if you are looking for something that provides relief for a terrible sore throat, this one is not going to help too much with that. I am very pleased to know that Ricola is providing a natural line of products for those of us who prefer the traditional cough drops. Congestion Relief It doesn't really help with congestion. Chest Congestion Relief It is more for irritated throats, not congestion. Relief of Aches & Pains It eased the itchiness but not the pain. Cough Suppression It did help stop the itchiness in my throat which caused my cough, but if you have a serious cough these probably won't help much.

My favorite cough drop flavor.

Ricola Natural Honey Lemon with Echinacea Cough Drops are my first choice in Ricola cough drops. The flavor actually tastes good, even though it has echinacea in it. Normally, echinacea is one of the most disgusting herbs of all time. These cough drops have a tasty balance of flavor and herbal powers. The echinacea helps with curing your cold or sore throat, and the honey lemon helps soothe and relieve any pains and irritations caused by sore throats. I often will dissolve a cough drop right before bed to help me sleep easier at night. They give you the relief you need to breathe easier as well, and to help numb your throat a bit. They are not the most powerful cough drops ever, however, so don't expect major numbing relief. They do help though! Relief of Aches & Pains Relief is what these cough drops are all about. Cough Suppression These cough drops do help suppress coughs a little, but they mostly just help you feel better.

Bad flavor

I think these work okay, but I like the original Ricola flavor better. I really don't like the lemon flavoring because, It DOESN"T taste like lemon! When I am sick and these are all we have in the house, I will take these and I do feel they give me some relief, but I hate the flavor. Stick with the other flavors. Congestion Relief I don't think the flavor is strong enough to relieve congestion. I strongly feel you should try to original herb flavored Ricola Cough Drops. Chest Congestion Relief I don't think I noticed anything with these. Relief of Aches & Pains These aren't really made for that! Cough Suppression Although these do taste bad, I feel they do help with cough, so I suppose this product is successful. I just think that these are unpopular with Ricola customers because of the taste.

Natural, gentle product

I prefer Ricola because they don't have as many strange and unnecessary chemicals as the American brands. I also like the herbal ingredients though they are probably very small amounts. I would prefer it had Vitamin C and zinc to help with colds as well, as Halls offers. Congestion Relief It isn't for this symptom. Chest Congestion Relief It isn't really for this problem. Relief of Aches & Pains It has a little menthol but not so much as to annoy. Each Ricola products has widely differing amounts of menthol. Cough Suppression It is probably about as effective as any cough drop. I prefer this one because it isn't overwhelming and I get (supposedly) some benefit from the herbal remedies. And it tastes good too, refreshing and not chemically as the mainline brands.

These do not taste very good at all and aren't effective

I love Ricola's cough drops, but these particular ones taste terrible and I do not think they work well either. I have always consumed these drops for the taste (I used to buy this orange flavored ricola packet when I was a kid) and for the thirst relief (works like water on a hot summer day). Unfortunately, when I am actually sick, they do not really work. I do stop coughing when the cough drop is in my mouth, but once I swallow the last bit, then I start coughing again. Not only that, but this particular flavor (honey lemon) tastes quite terrible. Maybe they work for coughs/colds that aren't as bad as mine, but they definitely haven't worked for me yet. Not only that, but there are only 24 in a bag, so they run out pretty fast.

These are decent cough drops.

The honey lemon flavor of Ricola's cough drops tastes wonderful, much better than most other flavors I have tried. I happened to come by these cough drops at a nearby duane reade when my daughter was really sick and she loved this flavor and also told me that she felt much better after using them for a few days while she was sick. She also says that the taste is not too strong; so unlike other flavors, the taste of the honey lemon isn't the only taste on the mouth several minutes after finishing the cough drop. Personally, I find the taste to be very medicinal. But as long as they work well for a sore throat, I will continue purchasing them.

The Only Cough Drop I Will Ever Use! Ever..

I'm tired of that nasty cold drop taste i get from halls, or cepacol.. I was about to give up until i have discovered these magical little beauties. I simple put one into my mouth and the rest of my day my throat is soothed. Ricola seems to be more affective than any other leading cough drop brand. I love the taste, it's more of a sweet taste, and theres no overpowering menthol flavor. They even smell good and that's great because if your congested and can smell them, that's a good sign, right? I give it two thumbs up. Congestion Relief I was less congested, and that tickle in the back of my throat had eased. Chest Congestion Relief My chest felt as if that elephant decided to go sit on someone else. Relief of Aches & Pains It's very soothing. Cough Suppression I immediately stopped coughing.

So good, I wanna eat these even when I'm fine!

Tasty, tasty, tasty. I love the soothing flavor of these drops. They're smooth and sweet and wondeful. I have to admit that I would suck on these even if I wasn't feeling well. But the Echinacea content makes me think otherwise. I wouldn't want to ingest too much, heh heh. I lke the durable packaging. I can stuff the bag in my purse and not be worried they're going to spill out everywhere or that the individual drops will melt into a disgusting sticky mess at the crevices of my bag. They're made to be transported from here to there, so feel free to toss em in your car or purse. The added bonus of echinacea from this super trusted brand should be a major tipping point if youre looking for a new standard of cough drop. Other than Zicam, this stuff is tops. Congestion Relief I've never used them for this purpose but I imagine they wouldnt relieve congestion at all. They're cough drops. They might be menthol-y, but that's it. Chest Congestion Relief See above. It's for coughing, not really gonna work as an expectorant. Relief of Aches & Pains Again, not a pain reliever or medicine. This is just a soother. Cough Suppression Now you got it! Does this!

Ricola Cough Drops with Echinacea Offer Some Relief from Coughs

3

A bad cough is often associated with a sore throat and when combined, they can make for a miserable day. Plenty of heavy- duty medicines exist to control the problem, but some of them cause drowsiness and are less convenient to take. If convenience is your goal, you may want to consider Ricola Natural Honey Lemon with Echinacea Cough Drops. Cough Drop Facts and Commentary: Ricola Natural Honey Lemon with Echinacea Cough Drops are small, individually wrapped drops with a lemon/menthol taste that is pleasant and soothing. They can be taken as often as needed and they go to work immediately. Ricola Natural Honey Lemon with Echinacea Cough Drops are, like other Ricola cough drops, a convenient means to handle coughs and related problems. The individually wrapped drops are very handy because you can grab a few, place them in your pocket or purse, and take them most any place. I just reach into my pocket and pull out drops as needed. I usually take two at a time when I use these because I find a single one is too little and makes little difference in my cough or throat. Ricola Natural Honey Lemon with Echinacea Cough Drops are a little better than the average cough drop, most of which do very little to stop a cough. With these drops, there seems to be a little more medicinal effect, even though what you get can still not compare to the heavy duty liquid relief products and others. The relief, though, is better than nothing and not only does it help soothe the throat and lessen coughs to a small degree, it is also good for issues with dry mouth and dry throat. Bottom Line Viewpoint: My bottom line with Ricola Natural Honey Lemon with Echinacea Cough Drops is that they are an acceptable cough drop for sore throat and cough relief. The added Echinacea does make a small difference and the convenience and low price make this a product worth trying. Congestion Relief Not made for this Chest Congestion Relief Not made for this Relief of Aches & Pains Not made for this Cough Suppression There is some cough relief, but nothing compared to the better cough medicines

Triple guard echinacea beats the common cold fast

5

Okay, I am not one to believe in a miracle cure for the common cold, but I may have to reconsider.  This past winter my husband started coming down with a cold.  When he gets a cold it hits him hard, usually turning into a sinus infection with fever and the chills.  We were out of town visiting relatives, when we mentioned to his sister about the oncoming cold she had something she wanted him to try, triple guard echinacea by Nutrilite.  My husband and I were both skeptical, but hey what do you have to loose.  He took three tablets in the morning and three again in the evening, by the next day he was feeling better.  He continued to take three a day for the next five days.  The cold was contained and gone well before the end of the week. We purchased a couple of bottles to have on hand the minute a cold starts to present itself.  I have warded off a cold of my own in the last couple of months.  Is it a miracle pill?  Probably  not... but it seems to work for us.
