Wonderful safety product

5

We bought these for our wooden coffee table and end tables. With our first child, these stayed on for about a year and a half. With our second child, we are having a hard time keeping them on there. She will pull them off when we are not looking and she's the one who needs the extra protection. Wooden tables are the least forgiving when a child falls on it. My nephew ended up with stitches because he fell and hit the table just missing one of these strips. I wish I had put these strips all along the sides. These are very dense and cushy. Both of my children would chew on them when they were cutting teeth and they never put a mark on them so they are very tough and durable. Effectiveness Very effective as protecting heads from corners. Ease of Use Very easy to use. You just put the adhesive strip on it and mash onto the surface. Quick and simple. Safety Safe for baby even if it gets pulled off. No choking hazards. Durability Really durable as long as your child doesn't pull it off.

Good idea, but don't stick well

As a nanny for a mobile baby who likes to pull up on coffee tables, I thought these were the best invention ever! They basically protect children from the hard and sharp edges of tables and any other squared object that could possibly hurt if they fall into it. Unfortunately, the adhesive that you're supposed to attach these with is so weak that the 10 month old I watch is able to pull them off. I really want to like this product because it seems like such a perfect way to avoid injuries, but the guards are too easy to remove, making them useless. I have tried different and stronger types of adhesive to try to get the foam pieces to stick, but they either work the same as or worse than the adhesive that comes with the corner edge cushions. I also didn't want to ruin any of the furniture with permanent glue. If the adhesive was stronger, I would highly recommend this product, but since it's not, don't waste your money on it. Ease of Use They're easy to use, but they're just not effective.

Great safety item to have

I have these corner cushions on my living room entertainment center and side tables. They were easy to put on, which I was very thankful for. My son has fallen into them a few times and they have totally done their job. All the furniture that I have these on have very sharp corners and these gave me piece of mind without having to buy new furniture. My son is able to pull them off now though. I think that that the sticky part could be a little stronger. I am sure though they have avoided that in fear of damaging furniture. However I would rather have slightly damaged furniture instead of my son getting hurt. I also with that they came in other color choices. I also wish that the sides came down a little further. I think it would make them a little more effective at staying secure on the corner. I was very happy with the price point on these. I think that they were priced comparable if not better to comparable products.

they worked wonders for us

We got these for our toddler, and they have worked great. They cover up sharp coffee table corners, and have not peeled up at all. They are easy to install, and I hope easy to come off. They don't look really all that nice, but they are also not meant to be attractive. It has saved us from black eyes and bumps on a couple of occassions.

not worth the money.

1

Save your money! This product is not worth buying at all. I used these for an end table we have by our staircase that has very sharp edges. They constantly fell off even after buying new ones and trying to replace them. My son fell off the landing and hit his eye on the corner of the end stable and ended up needing to go get glue to close his wound because surprise one of these fell off of the corner of where it was suppose to be. I don't think they look much nicer than any homemade one you could make. They also damage whereever you do place it. I know it says it won't damage your furniture but it took pieces of the paint off our table. You would be better off taking a towel or dish cloth abd taping it on yhe corner you need it for. Effectiveness Constantly is falling off. Ease of Use It is easy to stick where ever you are placing it but to have it actually stay there is another story. Safety With it constantly falling off you don't know if it will be stuck to the item you need it for when your child is there. It is also very easy for the child to pull off once it starts falling off. Durability Poorly made product. Good idea not executed very well.

Safety 1st Corner Edge Cushions

3

My family used the Safety 1st Corner Edge Cushions on several different tables. They are easy to put on the table, and took hardly any time at all to "install". The cushions are soft and will help small babies from hitting the corners. However, my daughter quickly learned that she could pull off the cushions, and then it became a sort of game for her. After a few times of her removing them, they would no longer stick to the table, and so had to be thrown away. The cushions are just for the corners, so the child can still hurt themselves if they fall on the edges of the table. The color is a grayish color, and do not really look that appealing on the table, but if it will help keep the child safe, this is of no concern. They were useful for the time before my daughter learned she could take them off, allowing a soft place for her to hit when she was first learning to pull herself up using the table; but that didn't last too long, as she quickly decided they were a better toy than something for the table.

Great for Baby's Bumps

We bought these as well as the longer ones that go all around the coffee table. I am so glad we got these. After several close calls we purchased these even though our coffee table actually has rounded edges, they really helped cushion things while our little guy started cruising and pulling himself up. They stuck right on straight out of the box. The little peelies on the back did take a little effort and a finger nail to un peel. But once we got the peel off the back they popped right on. They are a little difficult to move once stuck on, so you really want to make sure you get it on the right spot the first time. After having them on for about 8 months we have finally decided to remove them. Right now I have to say I am glad this is an old coffee table. Some of the sticky stuff is left behind. I tried to remove it with my fingers but it's a little tough. I am sure I am going to have to get a razor blade to scrape it off. I am not sure if it would damage a newer coffee table, so you might have to take care when getting the adhesive off. Also as our coffee table has rounded edges, the bumpers don't stick straight on. So some things (foodm, crumbs, etc) tend to get stuck under it. Just something to think about, but not a deal breaker.

My son loved to play with these!

We bought these once our son was mobile and we were wanting to babyproof our house. We bought them to put on the corners of our TV stand. We put the adhesive on, stuck them on the corners...lets just say they were off within 10 minutes. My son went straight for them and pulled them right off. We tried more adhesive from the ones we weren't using and let them sit overnight, and he still got those off the next day! They looked very padded and would probably cushion well on the sharp corners, but ours would NOT stay on. I was actually kind of shocked when I read that some people had trouble getting them off of their furniture! It would be nice if they came in different colors too so they would match (or match better) whatever color furniture they were going on. I don't think I would recommend them unless you buy your own adhesive or permanently super glue them or something. My son was into everything so maybe if your kid left them alone they would work. He's never hit the corners either so I guess we are lucky!

These look tacky, but they work alright.

These pads are extremely big and bulky looking.  They are an ugly grey color and they look very tacky on our table.  However, they have prevented many cuts and bruises, so they are worth it.  If you have a table with sharp edges at all, these really are a must.  I would like to find something that doesn't look so tacky, but for now, these work. They stay on very well, but now that my grandson is getting older (15 months), he is getting curious enough and strong enough to take them off.  Because they are so big and kind of hang off of my table, he has plenty of pad to grab onto and pull on.  It wouldn't take much to rip these things off, so that has become my biggest concern with them. Also, once they are pulled off, I don't think they will ever stay on the same again.  The sticky pads used don't seem like they would be able to be reapplied and stick nearly as well. Overall, it is an ok product that has helped us a lot.

they work

I dont love these but they sure do the job and that is what counts. After hearing of a terribile accident involving a child falling and hitting a sharp edge I decided to take some preventative measures. Our stairs have a low banister edge that sticks out and I was concerned that if our child fell and hit that edge it would obviously be bad so I went to buy some edge cushions and found these. Honestly there werent many options. i'm not crazy about the colors - you would think they would make them clear, but they do the job and seem nice and thick so I do feel better. my only concern is that I hope they dont leave marks when I remove them since you have to stick them only to object but I would think the company would have thought that through so Im hoping to not have a problem. I think these came in tan and cream. I didn't see any other colors so you might want a different brand if you are trying to match furniture.
