Easy-To-Use and Super Cute Potty!

4

My daughter and I have had no major issues with this potty. She has been using it without any complaints and it seems to be pretty comfortable for her (judging by her singing and reading and taking forever while she's sitting on it! :-) I have had no issues with the potty cushion getting smelly or dirty, and we've had this thing for almost a year. After every use, I use a spray cleaner and hot water to wash it and it's perfectly clean and odor-free! As a step-stool, the potty is quite sturdy (I've even stood on it myself!) and my 2 yr old daughter loves standing on it to wash her hands. My only word of caution is to flip the cushion over so that the little urine guard "hump" is UP! I don't know about anyone else, but boys aren't the only ones who "spray". My daughter has had a few instances of urine shooting forward so I've found that the having the guard up helps.

My daughter loves the Safety 1st Pretty in Pink Potty!

We got the Safety 1st Pretty in Pink Comfy Cushy Potty after my 14 month old daughter started bringing me diapers when she was dirty. I knew she was ready to start learning, even at a young age. The first day she sat on it, she when potty (number 1 and 2!) She loves sitting on her potty and reading books or brushing her teeth. It seems really comfortable and it fits her perfectly! It's sturdy and easy to clean. It transforms to be able to fit on the big toilet and the bottom turns into a step stool! The step stool is too short for our sink, but it will help her get up to the toilet when she's ready for that. Right now, she sits on the potty with the cover on, so it's like a step stool, and she'll brush her teeth. My daughter loves this potty seat and I would highly recommend it to everyone! They also sell a Safety 1st Comfy Cushy Potty in green too! So it's great for boys and girls. It has a pee guard that goes one way for girls and another way for boys. It works for my girl, and it looks like it would work really well for boys.

Safety 1st Pretty In Pink Comfy Cushy Potty-Junk

1

When working on potty training with my daughter we used several different seats. This one was my least favorite. When I purchased the Safety 1st In Pink Comfy Cushy Potty, I thought the fact that it could be used as a step stool when the child got older was a great benefit. I also thought the fact that it could be taken apart and part of it used on the regular toilet as a potty seat was another benefit. However, I soon came to realize that all of those extra parts were more trouble than they were worth. As any parent working on potty training knows-the less clean up you have to do the better. I found that with all the different parts it was hard to keep this seat clean. And it didn't take long for the cushy seat to get discolored and gross looking. And no amount of cleaning and disinfecting made it look clean again. And when used as a step stool-it won't hold much weight. For sure it would not hold an adult and it barely held my 6 year old son. It ended up cracking after a few months. My advice would be to buy a simple potty chair that only has one part to remove-the bowl. And if you want a step stool buy one that costs a few bucks. Cheaper, easier to clean, and more functional than the Safety 1st Potty.

You'll use it for years

We bought the green version of this potty chair years ago when we first started thinking about potty training our older child.  The portability of this allowed us to bring the potty chair all around the house.  I know it's odd and gross, but we'd move that chair everywhere.  Busy moms and dads just don't always have time to hang out in the bathroom for 30 minutes+ while 2 year olds get accustomed to sitting on the potty!  That's why we used a little portable potty so it could be taken into the kitchen, living room, etc.  Wherever we were, the potty trainee could be there too! The chair is relatively lightweight and is also very easy to clean. I rinsed it out in the tub after use and then wiped it down with a disinfectant wipe.  Easy! Both our girls used this chair for just a few weeks while they were first learning to potty.  Now, it is used as a step stool.  We keep it by the sink for them to use when brushing their teeth, brushing hair, or just simply admiring themselves in the mirror! ;)  We've been using this seat daily for well over 2 years now.

This one stinks...literally and figuratively

When my older son started potty training the Safety 1st Comfy Cushy Potty Chair is the one I picked out for him (ours was blue and green, but otherwise the same).  I was so pleased to find a seat that he could sit on for extended periods and be comfortable, and at a price that was much less than some of the others.  It was great for practicing sitting on the potty, reading potty training books, etc. But the he started to catch on to the whole training thing and began peeing in the potty.  I still thought it was great.  Then one day I squeezed the removable cushy ring as I rinsed it off.  Guess what came out?  Old stale urine.  Every time the pee guard did it's job it was actually absorbing the urine.  Try as I might, there was no way to get it totally clean.  I did my best to clean it daily but over time it began to smell.  Then it started to crack from my rinsing and sqeezing.  As soon as I felt he was ready, I bought a Baby Bjorn potty seat for the top of the toilet and we threw out the potty chair.  Just recently I bought the matching Baby Bjorn potty chair for my younger son.  I wish I'd just done that in the first place, instead of going for the bargain.

An adorable potty seat!

We bought this potty seat for my daughter.  She absolutely loves going potty in it!  The seat is sooo soft and I love how the potty can also be used as a step stool as well.  This seat was also VERY reasonably priced at Wal-Mart and I would recommend it to anyone with a little girl of potty training age.  As another reviewer mentioned, I have NOT had issues with the seat soaking up the urine, thank goodness.  The seat also has wonderful rubberized "feet", making it non-skid. The only things that I don't care for are the lid not closing very easy (it takes awhile to get the pegs lined up to the holes) and the fact that urine gets "trapped" under the cushy seat, which makes it difficult to clean. The best part of this potty seat is that the interior is removable for easier clean-up.  We have several potty seats in our house (we have 3 bathrooms) and this potty seat is by far my favorite.  I'd highly recommend this potty seat to anyone.

comfortable and durable!

I absolutely love this potty chair and so does my toddler-aged son. He has this seat in blue. The cushion is very soft. I used a disinfectant on the seat as well as the bowl after he goes and it hasn't stained or altered the seat in any way. There are two ways to put the cushion down (cup up or cup down) so that you can use it if you are training a boy or a girl! The cup- up feature is very effective when potty-training boys! My son hasn't had any leaks or sprays. The lid folds up over the potty and doubles as a stool for washing hands. This is very convenient as toddlers are too small to reach adult-sized sinks. This potty is easily transportable as well. It's very light and small (almost like a box). Our chair came with a little sticker (frog) to place on the front of the potty so our son knows which way to face. I would highly recommend this seat for its comfort, transportability, and durability.

Don't Buy The Safety 1st potty chair!

1

DO NOT BUY THIS! The seat soaks up urine like a sponge. I have the same model only with a blue seat for my son. When boys use this the splatter guard soaks up urine into the seat like a sponge. My son has been in the urgent care 2 times with bacterial infections in the backs of his legs and butt before I found out this was the source. Despite washing it and spraying it with antibacterial spray afer each use, it smells and when I squeezed the seat cushion brown concentrated fluid came out. This is a safety hazad and will be recalled if I have anything to do with it!

Potty- Very nice potty!

This is a very nice potty training seat. It is soft, which is very nice for training when you have to have your kid sit on it for some time.  It can be for a girl or a boy thought pink really defines the gender! All you do is flip the padded seat over. It also can be taken apart and put on you toliet which is amazing when you are tired of hand washing the potty and you would like to be able to just flush! You can also put the whole thing in the dishwasher but I wouldn't recommend doing that with the padded seat because it doesn't stand up well to the power washing or the heat or something. I have used this seat for both a girl and a boy and have enjoyed it. Their feet haven't quite touched the ground when they use it which makes it easier because they do not slip off or stand up and walk away. You can also put it in front of a tv or on a counter top, if you are there to watch the child.
