Thinking Samsung would be top of the line was a mistake. Before the warranty ran out it was freezing up. Called the company and I would have to pay for the service call and if it was not the contained unit it was not covered and I would have to pay for it. I knew it was not contained and I am not paying for a service call. So I have to thaw it out when it freezes up. We also bought one for our son at the same time we bought ours and his last a little long than ours, but it also has started making noises. Noise Level Makes a noise like a missile falling. Whistle sound. Temperature Control Lets see the door stop where the doors meet gets so hot it could burn you but it will not defrost itself and freezes up.

This refrigerator is rated poor because it stop cooling fill with ice and can;t reset it after a power outage and this has been going on since the first year I purchased it and still having the same problems . I even had to have a tech to put freon in the refrgerator. What can I do?

I read the other review for this fridge and it sounds like they got unlucky and that's too bad that Samsung didn't take care of them. This is off topic, but with another Samsung product, I also did feel that Samsung's customer support was pretty lacking, and they are supposed to be a company that makes very high quality products, up there with Sony, so that is disappointing. However, we have never had any problems with our refrigerator, no major problems anyway. I do have one complaint that that shelves are a bit weak - we load up our fridge with heavy stuff, and I did notice that the corners of the shelves had cracked. However, I never tried to repair the cracks and we have been continuing to load in the heavies on the cracked shelves with no problems. The fridge stays very cold - we can leave it in the middle setting.
