We love our rice cooker. It heats up quickly and out rice is always done perfect before we know it. Rice is generally easy to cook on the stove but its so nice being able to walk away and have it done when you get back using the cooker. Especially nice for a big family and its something the kids can do to help in the kitchen!

When our 3D rice cooker got damaged after 4 years of using, we decided to buy another brand of rice cooker to check if which of them lasts longer. We came up buying this Sanyo EC-310 10-Cup Rice Cooker. As of now, I cannot compare which is more durable, if it is 3D or Sanyo since it is just 3 years since we bought and use this Sanyo Rice cooker. Rest assured, for 3 years of using, it is still doing well. But I found out a very good thing from Sanyo which is not in 3D, that is, the boiled water does not overflow when I only cook few cups of rice, say 3 to 4 cups. That was my issue before with 10-cup 3D Rice Cooker. Whenever I cooked 3 to 4 cups of rice only, the boiled water bubbled, overflowed and it caused mess outside the rice cooker. With Sanyo, I haven't experienced it. Eventually it bubbles but it does not overflow. It also cooks fast. It's non-sticky feature assures that the rice won't stick on the pan so it is very easy to clean. I am confident that we can enjoy using this Sanyo Rice cooker for more than four years.

My husband and I purchased this rice cooker a few years ago. It works quickly; takes about 20 minutes on average to cook 3 or 4 cups of rice. It is so much faster and easier to use than making rice on the stove or in the microwave. I'm never exact with measurements - I just throw in the rice and the water and it always turns out nicely. We are very happy with this appliance and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the market for a rice cooker. It was very affordable and has never let us down. The bowl is machine washable, and comes clean easily when washed by hand or run through the dishwasher.

My family has had Sanyo rice cookers (the low tech versions, like this one) for as long as I can remember. They last forever! What a great, low cost investment. My family used our rice cooker nearly every day for many, many years (10+) before it pooped out and we had to buy another. Now I have my own 10 cup EC-310 and love it as much as my family's Sanyo rice cooker. It is extremely easy to use and to clean, and it cooks up the rice better and faster than doing it in a pot on the stove top. I've cooked all kinds of rice in my Sanyo- white rice, wild rice with chicken broth, you name it. This is just a great, durable, low cost product. I highly recommend it. Ease of Cleaning Like anything else, I find cleaning this product is easiest if I soak it immediately to loosen up any rice for ease of cleaning. If you leave the food in there for ages and don't soak, it will be hard to clean. Durability My experience with Sanyo is that these rice cookers last practically forever!
