We have had this small hand held vacuum for many years but it doesn't get much use. My biggest complaint about it is how loud it is. I know it is a vacuum and maybe it is because it is closer to my ears than a regular vacuum, but this seems ten times louder. It could be that it has a really high pitched sound as opposed to a bigger vacuum. I don't pull this out much unless I need to do the stairs, which isn't often anymore since we got rid of the carpet on the stairs in favor of wood. I think the vacuum does an okay job of picking up dirt but as with most vacuums that have a rotating brush, my long hair and our cats' fur gets all wrapped around it and I have to stop and cut the hair or fur off of it after a couple uses. While that problem isn't specifice to this product, I wish I could find a vacuum which didn't have that problem. I probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you want to do your vacuuming with noise blocking headphones.

**this handheld vacuum is very powerful for it's size. It has strong suction and can pick up heavy gritty dirt from the floor or carpeted area. It is lightweight and easy to hold onto. I bought it as an addition to my upright vacuum because it is so much more portable and easy to use in confined or smaller areas, say under a desk or table which is difficult to move around to do the vacuuming. I had seen ads for this on tv and when I saw it at the store I found that it was one of the lower priced vacuums and that really appealed to me because I am on a fixed income and have limited funds to spend. I am hoping it will last quite some years and it seems durable enough to fit that bill. It also has a really long cord and that is nice. A good vacuum that does a good job. And let me mention also that it does a good job when I clean my car and that long cord makes it easier to connect to my house power to run it.**
