This A.C. is 12,000 BTUs and I LOVE IT! I can't stand hot weather so this fulfills my daily requirement of cold. The unit is a little too  loud and the open/close vent lever is flimsy. The remote has a narrow window on the A.C. and I have to aim it directly right on but I usually get it on the second try. We are not using the included side panels since the A.C. is in a wide window so my husband improvised his own side panels. For that reason I cannot comment on the quality of the panels that came with the unit. Since the A.C. is so powerful we don't even need to keep it running all day on a hot day. We can shut it off for an hour or more and the room is still cool as long as our ceiling fan is on and I'm not cooking. The power saver feature is okay but we don't like that it will shut down the A.C. for 10 minutes. We have to put on our ceiling fan to keep the air flowing. The temperature selector is more to our liking since we can choose a reasonable temperature we want the room to be and when the room reaches the selected number the compressor shuts off but the A.C. fan keeps going. I LOVE that I can get the A.C.'s compressor to cool the room even when it is cold outside. If I set the temperature number to 64 (the lowest number available) the compressor will keep the room cool. A lot of A.C. compressors will not work when it is cold outside so this was a big plus for me. I use the timer almost every day to automatically shut the unit off about an hour after I expect to fall asleep. I also use the timer to turn the unit on about an hour before I expect to return home. Sometimes when I will be leaving the house shortly but don't want to forget to turn the unit off I will set the timer to go off around the time I expect to leave. The filter is easy to get to in the front panel when it is time to clean it. You have to be careful with the filter since it is flimsy. I would have preferred a more solid plastic around the filter. The adjustable vents that distribute the air are not flexible enough so the aim selection is limited. They should have split the vents into two sections for more choices. Also a lot of light comes into the room through the vents so if you use it in a bedroom you may not like this if you don't get up early.

It's that time of the year again when you just have to get some sort of a cooling system in place. I was looking for a good air conditioner to replace the one I currently had and I had to do a lot of research before getting the right match. I finally chose the Sharp air conditioner. Since it is made my Sharp a very advance electronic company you know you are going to get good quality and their products are very durable. It looks really amazing and does a great job in the cooling department. It keeps the room very cool and since you can change the temperature settings you can choose what temperature would be ideal for you. It has has a timer functionality which is pretty good. And since it has an energy saving option that is very useful for me.

The Sharp Air Conditioner - AF-S120MX is one of the air conditioners we own. And, it's one that I recommend. I didn't know Sharp made air conditioners until we needed one and saw them in the brand in stores. After talking with others and looking online, I decided that this is the one we needed. I have never regretted getting this. I usually let others go with me to make a purchase such as this one, but we needed it in a hurry. I was stuck with the task. And, because it's so good, I have never regretted this purchase, nor have I ever caught any "flack" from others in my household. I feel that it is is among the best air conditioners. I think it's get too dirty, though, and it's a little difficult to clean. Other than that, this one is great.

This air conditioning is awesome. It gets the job done by giving nice cool air in different speeds of wind. It saves alot of energy and kids love it because in the summer when all the kids come inside from playing outside they just hover near it. It's also not as loud as you would think it would be. It keeps the room very cool and it automatically stops by itself when it gets very cool. It's very cheap and I think this is a bargain. Definitley give this to a friend. I don't know where I would be with out this. In the summer the Air conditioning just completley denies the warm air from coming in. It's very easy to assemble. I assembled it in about a good thirty minutes. I didn't have to call someone to help.

Im very picky. If something is wrong, I will pick it apart. That's why this machine only got rated a three out of five for me. It's great, don't get me wrong, but there are little things about it that differentiate it from the great air conditioners out there. First, this thing cools very well. It can cool my whole house with ease. You can change the temperature like any standard air conditioner and it, like many others, has energy saving options. The Timer is also a nice addition. One problem though is that it's noisy! Sometimes I can't concentrate when it's on. It also is a pain in the butt to clean and empty out the filters so often. It attracts so much dust that I might buy an air cleaner just so that I don't get allergies! Considering that it's an air condition though, I suppose it does the job.

When it comes to the hot days of summer, this day and age, an air conditioner is pretty much standard fare. When you compare the benefits of an air conditioner over oscelating fans or just opening the window, you can definitely see a huge difference. The air is so much cooler than if you tried to get around without using an air conditioner, and you can set the temperature too, so it's not too hot or too cold. I received a remote with mine, so if the air conditioner is installed in the living room like it is at my house, you can keep it with your television remote controls and use it so that you can change the settings without having to get up from your chair. I was pleased with this air conditioner, it met my expectations.

after my central air broke, i realized it cost more to get it fixed and use it than to get a few air conditioners for the rooms i'm usually in. i searched around for a decently priced and reliable air conditioner and found this. i love that it has an energy star. i've noticed that my electricity bills have decreased since switching from central air to a few sharp air conditioners. this also saves me from wasting cool air in rooms and sections of the house that dont need it. i really like this air conditioner and recommend it to my friends and family as well. it is a bit loud but all air conditoners are but you get used to it. i trust sharp air conditioners to keep me cool during the summer months.

The Sharp Air Conditioner AF S120MX , 12000 btu, nice unit energy star rated, efficient, energy saving modes work well. Multi three cooling speeds and fan speeds, temperature dial customizable. Great for big rooms, a little heavy if hanging in window though. One issue is the noise. It is pretty loud which can be expected but could be more quiet. This becomes an issue during the peak of summer when the unit is on during the late hours and it becomes increasingly difficult to sleep. I have since gotten used to it but this should be an important factor to consider when shopping around. Don't forget to wash the filter to work at peak efficiency. Despite the shortcomings it works well, seems very durable, and does its job.

So since summer is coming up this will be a time when people will be looking out to buy a new air conditioner. I just wanted to provide my two cents and share my good experience with the sharp air conditioner. I really like Sharp as a company. They have very good quality products that are very reliable and stylish. But what's best about them is the good quality service that they provide. Because sometime something may go wrong and if you dont have good service it can become very difficult to solve the problem. The only thing I didnt like about the air conditioner was that it get quite noisy at times so if you are in the market for a quiet air conditioner this may not be the best option for you. Other than that its great.
