Considering the actual effectiveness of the product, this product is very good at helping babies who have suffered from diarrhea. When our children have started to struggle with this problem, we were looking for a formula that would help reduce the problem, help them be more comfortable, and help them sleep better at night without an upset stomach. This formula has worked quite well for us, and we have been pleased with the results. Easily Digested Our children have never had digestion problems with this product. Even when other formulas gave them diarrhea and upset stomachs, this one always seemed more gentle for them. It is easy for their bodies to digest and process without ongoing issues with diarrhea. As a result, our children have returned to sleeping through the night much more often with the use of this product. Ease of Preparation This formula is very convenient to use, since it simply requires opening the container and pouring into a bottle (making sure that it is the right temperature, of course). Preparing a bottle simply cannot get much easier than this, and the ease of preparation is this formulas best quality. The one downside to it that I have noticed is that the whole bottle needs to be used relatively quickly once it is opened, much sooner than the other powdered formulas that we have used. It is not something to buy a whole bottle and only use once in a great while.

Similac Expert Care Soy Formula for Diarrhea was really a lifesaver! My grandson was terribly sick and no matter what we gave it him it seemed to aggravate his stomach and if it didn't give him diarrhea it would constipate him and just compound the problem. I was not aware of this product but happened across it while shopping at Toys R Us. I bought several of the bottles with the mindset that it "at least wouldn't make it any worse even if it didn't really help it." Imagine my surprise when just a few hours later -perhaps four or five hours later- the diarrhea had stopped. I figured that pretty soon he'd be complaining about being constipated but he really seemed to be feeling better all the way around and there were no digestive issues at all. Nothing. Literally, we had a "back to normal" baby in less than 24hrs... and it's that what it's all about?

Similac Isomil DF Soy Formula is awesome. My 8 month old daugther had a serious viral infection. She could not hold down food or her normal formula. I took her to her doctor and she told me to switch her to Isomil DF, which I did and in less than 24 hours she was doing much better. The Isomil DF actually stayed down. I am very satisfied this product. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is in the same situation. It worked very effectively and gave me great peace of mind. I know that if I ever get back in to the same situation, I will be going straight for a bottle of this stuff. My daughter not only felt better, but it was a huge stress relief to me as well. It's great to know that there are products out there like this one that can help people in my situation! This is definitely one of those things that you hope you never have to buy again, but you feel comfortable knowing that it will provide a healthy solution.

Thank the heavens above for this product!!! When you have a child that's sick with diarrhea, it can be very frustrating and worrisome. Everytime you give them something to drink (even if it's Pedialyte), it seems to come right back out a few minutes later. And for any parent, this can be stressful and scary because you're worried about your baby/toddler dehydrating. Plus, your poor little child feels miserable and you just want to help make it stop. Fortunately, the on-call pediatrician gave me some great advice. My little boy was sick with the stomach bug, and he just couldn't get rid of the diarrhea aspect of it. By this point, it had been going on for 7 days!! But the doctor told me about Similac's DF formula. And man does this stuff work! For the first time in a WEEK, my little boy was getting fluids and nourishment and it wasn't coming out the other end!!! You can imagine the relief - both on my end and on his! I only bought one bottle, and that's all I needed. Within 2 days, the diarrhea was GONE and he was back to normal! Now, everytime my little one has diarrhea that just won't go away, I turn to Similac DF. It is the best stuff ever! :)
