We were willing to try organic formula since it is supposed to be healthier and better for children. We have been disappointed in the results. Although it costs more money than regular non-organic formula, it has not given our children better results, nutrition, or health. For our family, when we have tried this product compared to regular formulas, our children have always done just as well on regular formulas. Personally, I would not spend extra money simply to get an organic product that does not give us better results than the cheaper alternatives. Easily Digested Our children have done well digesting this formula, although not any better than when we tried non-organic formulas. Ease of Preparation Since this liquid formula is ready-to-use, it only requires pouring into a bottle and warming, which is quite easy. However, being a liquid formula that is easier to prepare than a powder formula does make it more expensive than the powder formulas. The added convenience adds to the final cost.

I feel very comfortable stating that this formula has exceeded my expectations. I did not have the ability to nurse my son due to medical reasons. I feel that this formula has met all of his nutritional needs while still being as close to natural in all ways as possible. New moms are most particular about their baby's formula. Some new mommies are so disappointed when breast feeding hasn't worked out for one reason or another. After 10 months of breastfeeding, I had to switch my son to formula, and I pleasantly discovered that the Similac "Ready to Feed" Organic Formula was the same price as the other Similac formulas. I try to balance being health-conscious and cost-conscious, and often buying "organic" products means spending twice as much! But not so with the Similac organic formula. Definitely give kudos to the Similac company for making it affordable to parents. The smell seems to be slightly lighter than some of the other formulas (I think formula is a necessary evil, because it smells so horrible most of the time!), and the bottles are a perfect size to easily store in the fridge during use. Opening the seal is a little confusing, and it took my husband showing me how, which you do by unscrewing the lid, flipping it upside down, pressing it into the foil seal, and spinning the lid to cut it open like a can opener. Once you figure it out, it's not a problem. But that first time or two was confusing!

We used this formula a few times when we ran out of our personal (and our daughter's) favorite. We got a great price on it with coupons and you can beat the "ready to feed". You just pour it and heat it. I like that it's organic and I don't know why, for the same price, you'd buy not organic. It was easy on our daughter's stomach and didn't smell foul. She's a pretty picky eater so the fact that she would drink this and switch between this and her other organic favorite was a miracle. I stock up on this stuff whenever I catch a good sale with coupons and we interchange between the two. We've used formula past the one year mark because I think it's beneficial for her to get the vitamins that she can't possibly get from a young toddler's diet. You do have to use it up fast (like within 3 days) but that hasn't been a problem for us. We've mixed it with her homogenized whole milk and that went over well too.
