This being my first embroidery machine I had a lot of trouble installing the software. Once I finished that the machine worked great. The embroidery I did was beautiful. There was a lot of free patterns available for the machine. It was nice to see the patterns on your computer before stitching. I liked the idea that you can also use it as a regular machine. I enjoyed using all the different stitches for decoration. I made my granddaughter a quilt with her name on it. You should have seen her face light up when she saw it. I gave everyone personalized gifts for Christmas. They make wonderful presents. It's a quality machine and I would recommend it to anyone.

I got this machine recently and I am still learning but I have to say it is very easy and intuitive to use. So far I am in love! The embroidery function is just amazing and you can embroider any image that you upload from your computer and then it embroiders itself. It also has several overlock stitches that are very important for me. Overall, couldn't ask for more when it comes to the sewing machine! I bought the Singer Futura about two years ago and I LOVE IT!  This is the first sewing machine I have ever purchased and I am 34 years old!  I had my mom's old sewing machine that was just basic for many years.  I really wanted a sewing machine that could do embroidery, but didn't want to spend a fortune to get that option.  This is really well priced considering all that it does.  The embroiderey part works when you hook it up to your computer.  I just use a laptop so it is super easy.  There are also a TON of patterns of things you can download from websites online that are free.  There is also software you can purchase so you can embroid photo, different letter fonts and things like that.  I have the software but have only really used the different letter fonts.  I am not too good at the embroidery part yet and I have had the machine for two years!  I think I need to read a book on how to be better at it because nothing turns out quite right on my first try.  My thread will break and I have to start over, or the fabric moves somehow even with backing and then the next color of thread doesn't match up ... it may be user error, like I said I should probably read up on it more!  That is why I gave it four stars and not five.  The actual sewing machine part is great, five stars for sure!  I love the different patterns you can sew with and like to make baby bibs and tote bags so it gives it a special touch with the fancy sewing!  My machine feels very sturdy and nothing has broken on it.  I was sewing with a lot of fleece and th bobbin started to come up from all the fuzz that was falling down into it so I just unscrewed the cover and cleaned it out, super easy!  I am also just an average sewer with computer knowledge, so it wasn't too hard to figure everything out! Ease of Use Takes some learning to get the hang of the embroidery and using the machine overall. When you learn how to use it properly it works well... Fabric Handling Works well on most fabrics. I have trouble with lighter fabrics getting jammed a bit and fleece getting into the bottom of the bottom and I have to take it apart and clean it. Durability Feels well built, nothing has broken on me yet!

My hubby gave this to me for Christmas 2 yrs ago. It actually sat for over a year because I was intimidated by it. I finally pulled it out to use as a regular sewing machine when my original Singer from my mother died. I love it, I am using it for sewing clothing, pillow cases, quilting and embroidery. The DVD and manual are wonderful and easy to understand! Singer had a bad reputation for a few years but this machine proves that quality is back!

I received my machine as a christmas gift a few years ago and have had alot of fun making quilts and gifts for friends and family members. Its easy to run and the embroidery part is amazing to see your work completed. This machine is used with a computer and you can make everything from baby blankets to towels. It also has 13 needle position,and over 50 stitches to use if you are just wanting to quilt. It comes with a manual that is very helpful and gives you details on everything. You also have a cd to get you started. When I first received the machine I was very scared to use it. It intemidated me a little. But once I started using it I can not stop. If you need a quick gift you can make a dish towel come to life or a baby bib. I took a plain bathrobe and put an intial on it for my son as a christmas gift. Its fun to use, even if your just sewing a patch it is easy to use. I have had a lot of people ask me to make quilts for them since getting this machine.
