This glycolic peel by Skin Laboratory is seriously like going and getting a professional peel done in a dermatologists office, but for way less money. Any issue that you have, be it wrinkles, fines lines, discoloration, whiteheads, or enlarged pores, this glycolic peel is very effective at treating all of those skin issues. It has helped me a lot with evening out my tone and keeping breakouts at bay. You have to be very careful not to leave it on too long as it can be pretty strong. Also remember that it is literally peeling away the top layer of your skin, so make sure and protect your baby skin from the outdoors for a few days afterwards to prevent future damage. I personally did not experience any really bad side effects from this peel, just a little bit of redness and skin flaking, but nothing dramatic. The results were well worth it, my skin looks way better than before I used it.

This is amazing! I was surprised to see such a concentrated formulation of glycolic peel that is available without a prescription at all. This is a very strong acid and you must be so careful not to get this in your eyes, or else you may cause some damage. You can definitely feel the the power of this acid because once you apply it to your skin, there will be a tingling sensation. It does not hurt, but 5 minutes later you have to rinse it off. The skin does feel a bit softer and this is definitely something that is wroth trying. Start with a sample patch on your skin before moving on and testing it on your full frontal area. It produces a brighter skin color and your face will be glowing. I noticed that the pore size also was reduced, the skin tone is evened, and I don't know if you have any fine lines, but I could see less. I recommend this product and would purchase again. Side Effects The skin peels a bit.

I got the 35% after mistakenly first trying the 70% that burned my skin. This is much better! Effectiveness This not only removed a layer of dead skin, but it is slowly lightening some acne dark spots. It also works on fading some bug-bite scars I had on my legs, although not as well as on my face. And the best part is that it's much cheaper than going to a dermatologist. Ease of Application It's not actually a gel, but runny. Apply a thin layer, then lie down so it doesn't run into your eyes or mouth. Convenience It's nice to be able to do this at home. Side Effects For me, the peel started a tingling feeling on my face almost immediately, which became painful at about 2 minutes in. My skin was red for about an hour afterwards, but returned to better than normal - pores smaller, skin softer and smoother. The frequency of my acne took longer to decrease, about a month, and if I use this once a week it doesn't return.

I tried over the counter acid peels and creams with poor results, so I upgraded to a higher percentage of salicylic acid, or an "entry level professional skin peel" as it was described. This is called a gel peel, but it's not a gel - it's much more liquid. So be careful when applying around your eyes and lips; my mouth got some of this and the skin on my lips peeled off. Since that skin was dry and cracked, my lips actually looked pretty good! The directions state that it should be left on your skin up to five minutes, but I've used this for several months and it's stung so badly that I haven't been able to stand it for more than 2 minutes. In that time, though, it did remove enough old dead skin that my complexion does look much better and my acne and acne marks have cleared up. I do wish that the gel had some color to it because it would be easier to see where and how much I've applied. Convenience Runny, clear liquid that is hard to tell where it is and how much has been applied. Side Effects Stinging, but stops when washed off. Immediacy You can see clearer, cleaner looking skin immediately. Acne scars take longer to fade.

I tend to get mild acne due to hormonal changes and the common salicyclic acid that dermatoligists suggest was not an alternative for me because I have a salicylate sensitivity. So basically salicylic acid = worse acne. I thought I just had to live with my hormanal acne, but then I stumbled upon Skin Laboratory Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel and decided to give it a try. This works wonders! As soon as I have an outbreak I put some on, and by the next day my acne has reduced 80%. It removes the top layers of skin and all the oil and leaves you with the fresh under layers. It may sting slightly but it's not really painful. The only downside is that it can leave a bit of redness and some skin flaking so if you're planning on having your picture taken the next day, don't have a chemical peel! So if you have had weird reactions to salicylic acid 1in the past, give glycolic acid a try. This might be your solution to acne as well

I've used this for about a month and I've loved this peel. I bought this out of a recommendation of one of my friend's after her friends told her about it (it's a never ending chain of referring). But other than that, like I said, I've loved this peel every step of the way! In my opinion, I felt that the peel did it's job. It honestly made my skin look younger (it's supposed to increase collagen growth, which makes your skin look younger and fresh, tighten your face, and in some cases, it's removed acne scars from my face). Results wise, like any other beauty product, it takes some time and dedication for you to see actual results. Just like a lotion or hair care product, it may take you a month or two to see actual results as each time you use it, your body becomes more used to it and the product's effectiveness increases by each use. Going back to the subject, results took me a little while to see.   Love it.

This peel is supposed to stimulate collagen growth to tighten skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It's can also even skin tone and diminish acne scars. This product may sound too good to be true, but it actually works! It takes some patience and diligence to actually apply the peel. Results are not instant, but if you stick with it your skin will improve.
