Great for everyday and projects

5

I purchased this product with the intention of using it for sewing projects and occasional use for ironing clothes. The iron itself is the perfect size. It's not too big, makes iron easy because it covers a lot of area so it doesn't take forever. It is fairly lightweight. When there is water in it it does get heavier but that's with anything. The iron heats up quickly. I liked that there are different fabric settings on it. The steam works well too. There are different levels in the steam which is nice too. I also liked the push button instant steam for when you need just a shot not constant. The retractable cord feature is nice too. Storage is a lot easier without having to wind the cord nicely. There is alittle "sticker" on the side of the iron that changes color with the heat, very helpful for storage so you don't have to touch the iron to see if it's hot or cool. I would recommend this iron to others. It's a great price point, great quality. I have had mine 6 years and regular use and still going strong.

Very nice iron

I have had the iron for around a couple of years and I have to say it works good. You can also add water to the iron for steam and that is what makes this iron great. The water holder has a max water level so you don't over fill the iron because it can spill the water out and that is what makes it great and very safe. The iron also has safty features built in to the iron. Performance It works great because you can add water in the iron and it helps remove wrinkles, which I think is great. It has settings for how hot you want your iron to be, from warm, steam, and very hot. Safety It is very safe, it has a power safty feature built into the iron, which is nice. Ease of Use It is very easy to use there alot of settings and it also has a water holder in the iron, it also has a water level measurement indicator which makes sure you don't over fill the iron with water. Durability It is very light which I really like and the water holder is plastic, it's a great iron

Good iron, but cord retracter isn't great

5

I am the type of person who does everything I can to buy clothes that are "wrinkle free" so I don't have to spend hours ironing. That said, I still have to pull out my iron every once in awhile, and the Sunbeam Iron with auto shut off has worked well for me. Since I don't use it more than every month or two, I can't testify to how it holds up under heavy usage, but it has lasted us over five years without any problems. For the most part, I really like the auto shut off feature, and it's easy to turn the iron back on (just put the iron down on the ironing board for a second). You can tell when the iron has shut off because the orange light on the handle starts blinking (when it's on, the light is just steady). I only use distilled water in mine, and the steam feature works great. My only complaint is the gimmicky cord retracter isn't that great--mine consistently won't wind up the last foot or so of cord, and sometimes I have to help it along for the last 2-3 feet of cord.

This iron gets the job done.

This is a no-frills iron, but like my sentence header states, it gets the job done. What I like most about it, is that it's a lightweight, reliable iron. It doesn't have as many features as some of the high-priced irons do, but if you want to get your clothes pressed and smoothed in a short amount of time, this is a good iron to own. I also like the fact that it doesn't leak water onto the clothes. The auto shut-off function is nice to have because inevitably when you begin to iron something else will come-up -- the phone will ring, someone will come to the door, etc -- and sometimes you just don't have the time to think about unplugging it or you think you'll only be gone for a few seconds (which then stretches into an hour)! It's a nice safety feature to have and I don't have to worry about it being a fire hazard if I have to walk away from my ironing duties to get something else done.

My Sunbeam Iron with Auto Shut-Off works great!

5

My Sunbeam Iron with Auto Shut-Off works great! I bought this iron a few weeks ago when my other iron of 5 years stopped working. So far I have loved everything about my new iron! It has a big spot on it to hold water so I don't feel like I'm filling it up every time I have to iron. It's lightweight but, it feels very heavy duty as well. I love the steam button! I can get to the part of the pants that I want to have a crease and just hit that steam button and it makes the crease stay in place. I also love the fact that it has a auto shut off. I have always unplugged my irons after I use them but, it's nice to know that the iron does have the auto shut off just in case. This iron works great and is a great value for the money.

Sunbeam Iron with Auto shut-off works well

4

**Sunbeam 4218 Iron with Auto Shut-off** works really well. I had my old iron for about 15 years. I don't iron very much as you can tell. My other iron was just too old and I was afraid to use it because of that. I went shopping for a new iron but didn't want to really spend a lot of money. I choose the Sunbeam 4218 Iron with Auto Shut-off because it was reasonably priced for what you got. I love the auto shut-off feature because if the phone rings or someone comes over I know that I won't have a problem. This iron is pretty light weight which is also a feature that I like. I tend to buy brand names and I want something that is going to last. Sunbeam makes good products. My husband can even use this. He sometimes will iron a few things for himself. The cord wraps up nicely and the storage of this iron is good. I like that it don't have a whole mess of features because that is not what I need. The place to put the water is very easy to use also. I recommend this product.

I love my Sunbeam

This iron is perfect for all of us moms that iron on the run whether it is school clothes, going out with mom and dad clothes, going out with friends clothes, football uniforms, or dads golfing clothes. And when I forget to turn it off, it does it for me. Now I don't have to wind the cord around and around the iron just so it can fall off half way down the hall, all I have to do is push a button. It is great!!!!!

easy and light

The sunbeam Iron is a great gift. It has a cord that ravels itself, just need to push a button. Its very light grip handle and easy to store. It comes with it own measuring cup to put water in.   Have different kinds of settings for how much steam you need. The button is easy to move from one setting to the other. Also comes with different verity of other settings that you need for different kinds of clothes to iron. Even comes in a few verities of colors. You can add has much water you need for the iron, and still get a great result.  Even comes with a reset button if it falls left on too long it will shut itself off. You can even iron on a hanger or door, it's that light to manage and comes with a setting for that. It's that simple that even teenagers can use it, with burning themselves. If you need an iron that is simple and easy to use and light weight. Sunbeam Iron is the best choice. You can also take with it need to, they are the right size for traveling
