After buying several different brands without satisfaction I happened across this at a dept. store. I am 'sold' on this product. I went back and bought two more. I like the consistant heat control, the energy save button and .... my heating bill went down. I have very large rooms and needed consistant heat in one for my exotic birds and in a couple other rooms for comfort. They are low profile so they don't tip over and if they should they automatically shut off. The manufacturer spent time perfecting the space heater and this is what they came up with. Awesome and much safer than any other out there. Performance I used the heater for 5 months with positive results Ease of Use Very user friendly and the energy button is an added bonus Durability Used three units constantly for five months and all worked consistantly. Design Low profile, does not tip over easily although it does have an auto shut off if it should. Attractive looking and can easily be wiped clean with a cloth. Matte black finish is a nice finish Safety Auto shut off, energy conserve button, does not get overly hot to the touch and can be used on wood floors (at least I did) without the floor getting hot. I also used on an area rug that has a very low matt and it did not get hot.

In the waning days before Christmas 2010, it grew much colder than usual in eastern Pennsylvania. I still had Christmas gifts to finish in my garage workshop and, while it was warm enough during the day, it would be too cold at night for glue and paint to dry properly. I had to get a space heater or else. After considering a mind-boggling array of varuious types of heaters available, I chose the Sunbeam SLP 3310-UM. This is a convection heater with a low profile, 2 speeds, thermostat settings, timer and Eco-Smart (cycles between high and low settings to save energy). Convection heat uses the principle that hot air rises and cold air falls to create circulation in the room and keeps the air moving. I set it up in my work area, turned it on and hoped for the best. I was trying to finish a doll cradle for my sister's antique doll and we were at a critical stage in the gluing. I got up the next morning and went to the workshop. It was a steady 70 degrees, the glue was dry and Christmas had been saved. Thank you to the Sunbeam SLP 3310-UM!

My home office is in an upstairs room with a twelve-foot ceiling.  The rest of the upstairs is not occupied.  Rather than turn on and crank up the gas furnace for the upstairs, I bought and use my Sunbeam SLP3310-UM Low-Profile 1000/1500 Watt Convection Heater. Highly recommended.
