I was so excited to find this chair while shopping for our son. It was beautiful, modern, and not clunky like a lot of the plastic high chairs out there. So we bought it! We found that we couldn't use this chair until my son was a little older though. The one that we used at my parents house supported our little guy at a much younger age (they used one of the one's that you can strap to your own chair). When we were finally able to use the Svan I was so excited, but quickly found out how hard it is to clean. LOTS of crevices for food particles to fall into and it takes a fine toothed brush to get in there and clean it out. It also wasn't as sturdy as I would have liked. When my son had the wiggles this thing was all over the place and I feel like it could have lost a bolt at any moment. I was constantly checking the bolts to make sure they weren't coming loose. We continued to use it for a while but had to move into a smaller home and this chair takes up a lot of space! We found that using a smaller chair that we could strap onto one of our own was better for us. So something that we thought we would have for a long time and would end up growing with our son, ended up being sold on craigslist.

I love this high chair!! After reading numerous reviews here and on other sites we decided to splurge a little and get a high chair that will grown with our child. My 2 1/2 yr old daughter loves it and and I love how it as grown with her. we now use it as a toddler seat, and it looks just as nice as when we first bought it two years ago. My husband and I love the fact she can sit at the table and eat with us. It is also easy to adjust (the footrest and seat depth easily adjust to your growing child) and easy to clean. I had a plastic chair and it was horrible. Food was stuck in every crevice and forget being able to get it out. The Svan chair is also smaller than the plastic chairs. The other thing I really like is my daughter can sit upright instead of leaning back in the plastic chairs, which caused huge messes. I have also had lots of compliments on the "look" since it's more like furniture. We definitely plan on purchasing another one when our newborn is ready for a highchair.

My husband and I went on a hunt for a highchair with a BPA free tray.  That narrowed the options greatly.  Other highchairs had poor reviews due to difficulty in cleaning the pad, so that narrowed our options more.  This chair has a removable pad (buy seperately) that is easy to throw in the washer.  We like it because it matches our natural wood table- we have the natural chair.  It looks great in our kitchen.  I only wish that the tray was wider.  Things sail right over the edge onto the floor all the time, and the tray is bowed a little on the top which also sends things rolling off onto the floor.  The tray is clear which makes it so we can put pictures and art underneath for my daughter to look at.  She loves this!  We change it all the time for holidays, to learn family member's faces, and for her favorite animals and places.  The base of the chair is pretty wide, but the rest of the chair is slim.  I like the fact that it is totally adjustable so she can even sit in it when she is a teenager!  Overall, I love this chair.  I just wish that the tray was larger.  Now, we just remove the tray and slide her up to the table to eat.  She likes this.  She just misses the tray with the photos.  We do have to keep tightening her seat because it keeps getting wobbly.  We aren't sure why...

The svan high chair with infant kit was a purchase I made a little over a year ago for the young one in our house.  I will say first and foremost that this high chair is quite expensive and generally is not found in stores.  However, it is a unique chair that is extremely safe, versatile, and has made our life a lot easier, so I would recommend it especially if you feel you will get many years of use out of it.  Really, this chair can be used for children up to really any age as it adjusts very easily (no tools required!) to help creat the perfect amount of space between the child's legs and the bottom of the chair as they age.  It can also adjust width wise too with inserts to prevent your child from sliding out.  What is great is that the tray itself is made of wood, but it comes with a plastic tray cover that is completely dishwasher safe.  Snap that on if they are having something a little messier than just dry cereal, and then send it through the washer when done!

This high chair was one of the top items on our registry of things we couldn't wait to receive and use.  We are definitely the type of parents that love the swedish design and functionality of baby furniture/items and couldn't wait to use the Svan after all of the positive reviews we read.  While it does look like a lovely piece of furniture that fits into our current dining room set, it was not the easiest to set-up.  I think it took my husband over an hour and wore on his patience a bit.  However, once it was put together, it looked beautiful and you could tell it was made of high quality and would last our child many years.  The unfortunate part was we had to wait 6 months until our baby was eating solid foods to use it!  We had built up quite the expectations by the time our son started his rice cereal, and I suppose it mainly met them.  It seems comfortable (with the seat cushion we purchased separately) for our son and cleans up easily with the removable plastic tray cover.  We have only had one thing to gripe about and that has been that our tray tends to dip down slightly and despite trying to straighten it, have not been able to fix it for good.  It seems we'll need to call the company for some help.  Otherwise, we would have given it 5 stars!

This high chair by Svan was very expensive, but I love the quality of it so I decided to buy it. It looks very modern and sleek in my kitchen that I just remodeled a few weeks ago. The base of this high chair is sturdy and it does not move around when I do not want it to. The high chair is great because it can be used by my child as long as he desires to use it. When he outgrows the tray smaller seat, I can remove it and he can use the seat as a normal chair at the dinner table. The tray is adjustable so that my child can eat comfortably. The seat strap is good because it is snug on my son and provides a safe eating experience for him. I love the color of the high chair because it matches with any kitchen design and it is easy to keep clean. The back of the chair is good for back support for my child too. I put a small blanket on the seat because it is hard and I wish that it came with a cushion. All in all, this high chair is very high end and awesome.

 I really do love this highchair, it looks great and my son is clearly comfortable in it. He has used it since he was about 5 months old. Yes it is a bit expensive compared to some but the benefits far outweigh the cost. It is beautiful and looks like a peice of funiture. I really didnt like the plastic ones because they stick out in a dining room or dinette. This is a classy peice that will last me for all my children and hopefullt I'll be able to store it and eventually use it on the next generation. It is a splurge that is so completely worthwhile in my opinion.However, I have to say it is a cleaning chore! I took it apart today to clean and had to remove each screw to get to the food around it! Yuk! To be fair I am not cleaning obsessive and have been happy to live with it without doing this but, if you like things to be spotless don't pick this chair! This is the one downside to this beautiful chair.

The svan high chair is a great little space saver! It fits into any corner of your dining room or kitchen, and serves as a decor piece, I love how it looks. It is adjustable to grow with your child (until adulthood). The seat cushions are nice, just throw them into the washer when they get dirty and they will look new again. Some thinks I don't love about the chair is that you need to tighten it every once in a while because it gets kinda loose after moving it around, and another thing, the harness is kinda easy for the baby to get lose and get out, my baby keeps getting up in the chair, which scares me, so I never put her in there if I'm not right next to her. The removable dishwasher safe tray is kinda hard to take off, so I just wipe it down. Also I think it would be kinda nice if they would make leather or vinyl seat cushions for the chair so you can wipe it down and not have to wash the seat cover so often. But overall, it's a great little chair for small spaces.

The Svan High Chair definitely surpasses most high chairs in the looks department.  It fits right in with our wood dining table and chairs and doesn't compete for attention or distract from design.  That being said, there are some functions that you sacrifice...being able to wipe down and spray off after a messy feeding, one handed tray removal, adjustments, etc.   A great feature is the ability to use this chair for more years.  The infant kit can be removed and the cair can be used for a toddler, and an older child.  This makes the high price easier to swallow when you know there are multiple years of use that will come.  Also, being a great design, you wouldn't mind using it for many years.  All adjustments, however, are done with tools rather than easy one handed changes, but once they are set, they are snug until the next change. If you want a chair that looks great, this is the one for you.  Ease of use, it still is fairly easy, but there are some sacrifices.
