I have been searching for a moisturizer that has SPF, natural ingredients, and works well with my skin type. It is important to me that it does not make my skin oily since I already have combination skin. Tarte Smooth Operator Tinted Moisturizer has worked miracles for my skin. It offers SPF 20, a bit of a tint, is oil free, and everything else I could want in a moisturizer. I am generally pale with freckles and surprisingly the lightest shade this comes in works and blends with my skin perfectly. Due to the pricing of this product I only wear it under my makeup when I go out but it is a wonderful product and I would recommend it to anyone searching for a product like this. Effectiveness It works well overall without over-doing it. Ease of Application It is very easy to apply and a little product goes a long way. It takes a minute to dry so I would not recommend touching your skin or applying makeup directly after applying this. Scent The scent is neutral. It does not have any perfumes added to it.

I love this stuff! It is a moisturizing serum and much more. It goes on smoothly and blends right into your skin. It has a light tint and you can add your blush right on top. Add your lipstick and you're good to go! It's great for the summer when you want something light. But if you want to add powder or a light foundation you can. It layers well. Tarte Smooth Operator Tinted Moisturizer is a sensitive-skin friendly product that won't irritate your skin or clog up your pores. After researching online, I chose this tinted moisturizer because it was made with natural ingredients and appeared to be a good choice with someone whose sensitive skin couldn't take non-natural foundations any more. This proved to be a good choice. The only downside is the fact that it only provides light coverage, and doesn't build up more coverage even when you layer it on your face. However, this product is a tinted moisturizer rather than a foundation, so that is to be expected. Ultimately, I stopped using this product because I wanted more coverage. Ease of Application The consistency blends well into your skin, so it's not difficult to apply. Scent This product has a pleasant, interesting scent. I couldn't figure out what it was, but there something appealing about its scent that made you enjoy opening up the bottle.

I am really a fan of this product. I like how it's the consistency of a moisturizer but covers like a foundation! I like how smooth and blendable this tinted moisturizer is. It is great to put on when I am in a hurry and offers good coverage. It is not heavy and it is not light either. I would say it's in between medium and light. I love how this product is not made with any oil. That way, I don't have to be worried about getting any extra oils on my face or if my face is going to get very greasy throughout the day. This product usually lasts me around 8-10 hours and I am happy with that. I am not looking for an all day wear product. I like how this product was not tested on animals because it puts me at ease. In addition, I like how this product has added vitamins and nutrients that are very good for my skin. The scent is nice too. I wish this product wasn't so expensive, which is why I had to give it 4 stars.

This product got me hooked on Tarte. I bought it when looking for an alternative to regular foundation (something more natural) that would also offer SPF protection and not dry out my skin -- I'm so glad I went with this product! It goes on smoothly, and all you need is a small amount. I've been using the same tube for about half a year now! I'm not sure how effective this is as at moisturizing (I have dry skin, so I still use a regular moisturizer, both at night and during the day), but I can say that I've slept with it on before, and my skin hasn't found it irritating (as it had all other kinds of foundation). It's good for evening out skin tone but having a natural look. It does have a bit of a sparkle to it, but so far, nobody can tell that I'm wearing make-up when I use it -- which is exactly the look I wanted. In a nutshell, this is a great product for those looking for something light and for those with very sensitive skin. After falling in love with this product, I've become a serious Tarte aficianado and have stocked up on their other skin and eye products as well!

I was on Sephora.com looking at their selection of all natural make-up and skin care when I came across the brand, Tarte.  I've heard of it, but didn't know anything about it, so I looked into the company more and liked what I saw.  So much so that I bought this product.  Now this product is my new favorite product in my make-up box. What I love about **Tarte Smooth Operator Tinted Moisturizer **is....EVERYTHING.  It's made with all natural ingredients, is paraben-free, contains SPF 20, is oil-free and comes in a plethora of shades to choose from, so there's a color for almost everyone.  It's a moisturizer, so it moisturizes your skin, but it's tinted, so it provides color too.  This product leaves my face feeling perfectly moisturized.  My skin doesn't feel heavy or coated, just hydrated and healthy.  It rubs in effortlessly and doesn't leave streaks on my face.  The coverage it provides is light-medium, but it is buildable.  I tend to apply it generously to add a little color and my face still doesn't feel greasy or oily.  If I wanted, I could apply 3 applications, and it would cover skin close to how a foundation would.  I still have to apply concealer to problem areas, but my face has a smooth, even tone to it that I love.  It gives me just the right amount of color too.  It doesn't look caked on, it just looks really pretty. I also love that **Tarte Smooth Operator Tinted Moisturizer **contains SPF 20.  I like knowing that when I leave the house, I'm already wearing *some *sunscreen and I didn't even have to apply it!   I honestly don't have one negative thing to say about this product.  Yes, it's a little pricey, but it's all natural and trust me, you get what you pay for with this product.  Try it, you won't be disappointed!

My skin type: Oily/Combination, Acne Prone/sensitive Tarte Smooth Operator Tinted Moisturizer is the best tinted moisturizer I have ever used. It offers perfect lightweight coverage that brightens my complexion. When I have this on, it actually doesn't feel like I have any foundation on at all. One thing to consider when buying this is that there are tiny sparkles in the product, although I don't believe they really show up on my face after it is applied unless you are 2 inches away from my face. (Personally I hate it when there are sparkles in face products because that tends to make me look oily, but with this product it does not) However, I have to say that my face does get shiny after a few hours when using this so I do have to blot. I use this every day with some powder on top and it covers my pores very well and smoothes out my complexion without making me look made up. One negative about this product is that I have to use concealer for hyperpigmentation/red spots.
