My cats love this food! They are happy and healthy eating it, and I am glad I got them off a cheaper brand. Also, my local feed store sells this so I can support them and not a big box store. So many brands are appealing to the human purchaser and this brand caters to the feline consumer. The small round pellets are economical and plain, not fancy and shaped so the human thinks they are pretty. The cats don't care what it looks like, so as long as it tastes great and has good ingredients why change it? Just because something looks good, doesn't mean it is. Quality of Ingredients There is always room for improvement, and the game ingredients are, of course, farm raised. However they do a great job for the price and it is fortified well. My cat with a sensitive stomach has not had any difficulties with this food, and he is usually a picky eater. Flavor Selection They have several different kinds, and my cats have like each flavor.

My indoor cats both love and thrive on this food. We feed 1/8 cup each, twice a day, mixed with a teaspoon of wet food and water, and the portion is plenty. Their coats are sleek and soft, their teeth are in good condition, and they have no behavioral issues. Our vet has commented on their excellent health, and I attribute it at least in part to this brand of food, which I feed exclusively. While fairly expensive, a 15 pound bag lasts over 3 months for two cats, one a Maine Coon. Both really seem to like the small kibble size as well, and while we've fed this for well over a year they always eat it, no problems with getting tired of it or finicky eating. Our MC, who is a senior, has had a sensitive stomach with other brands, and used to have a lot of hairballs, there have been no problems with those either. This is one of the few dry cat foods without grain and it is made of real meat. Most of the grocery cat foods are mostly grain. Some even boast that they have "healthy grains and vegetables". The problem is, cats cannot digest grains and vegetables. So it sucks up a lot of their energy to process these fillers and they get no nutrients out of it. Taste of the Wild is meat, which is what cats, being carnivores, eat. So they get more nutrition out of the energy used for digestion. Quality of Ingredients Every batch seems to be consistent. The quality is excellent. My kitty never tires of it. Which is a lot to say for her. If you keep it sealed, it will last a long time in the pantry. I bought a large bag for my kitty and a bunch of feral cats I used to feed. The people who owned the property where the feral cats lived knocked down the trees and took away the environment where the feral cats had their colony. So I had a lot of food for my kitty to eat. She eats a half of a 3 oz. can per day and a little kibble here and there throughout the day. So you can imagine how long a large bag lasted! It was still fresh at the end. Flavor Selection I only know of two flavors, but I've only bought the Roasted Venison and Smoked Salmon. As I said, my kitty hasn't tired of it. It is made out of somewhat different meats, so it is good if your cat becomes allergic to more run-of-the-mill meats, like chicken and beef.

I saw the reviews for Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain Feline Formula - Roasted Venison & Smoked Salmon on here and decided I would buy it for my cat next time she needed food. I am so glad I saw the great reviews on here and purchased it! My cat loves it and I have noticed an increase in her energy. I looked online on tasteofthewildpetfood.com to find a local location that sold this cat food. There was actually only one location, a local Farm and Ranch supply store that sold it. I went and bought some though. I was kind of skeptical about it since it has peas and sweet potatoes in it. I wasn't sure if my cat would like the that aspect of the food but she LOVES this stuff! This is the most excited I've seen her for breakfast time. I am woken up bright and early by a cat in my face trying to get my attention so I can feed her. Not only does my cat love this food but I think it is improving her health. My cat is an older cat, at least 10 years old is about the best estimate we have gotten. She is a little overweight and is not at all active. We have a ribbon that we can get her to chase around for a few minutes every once in a while but that's about it. We have noticed a huge increase in her energy levels since she started eating Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain Feline Formula! Now she will run from room to room and attack our shoes. Her ribbon she used to occasionally play with is getting a lot more use. In the 3 years we have had this cat we have never seen her play like this! I have one cat who is so extremely picky and would only eat turkey, chicken and fish if I had made it up for her and she would not touch cat food at all, I think it had something to do with all of the extra fillers that have been added into the cat food and the fact that is was not really made with enough real meat and things that she liked. I bought this for my other cat to try and I was amazed that my picky cat would even eat it! This cat food is natural and filled with real ingredients that you can actually read what they are on the back. My cats all loves this food and come running as soon as I pour it in their bowl and they eat it up fast. I like that it is actually made with real quality ingredients and something that I know is going to be good for my fur babies and their sensitive stomachs. My cats have even grown in thicker and pretty fur coats since they began using this food, they overall act healthier, look healthier, and are far more active.

Taste of the Wild is grain-free, has one of the higher protein contents on the market, and has fruits and vegetables in it to mimic what a cat would eat in nature. Since I've been feeding it to my cat, I've noticed that her coat is visibly shinier, she sheds less, and she poops less than with the Purina food I was feeding her before. She also eats less of this in a serving because it's higher quality, so the bag lasts longer. This makes Taste of the Wild a great value. The cat seems to like the taste (she practically leaps at the food bag at mealtimes), and I really like the fact that it's not much more expensive than the far-lower quality grocery store brands. Quality of Ingredients I like that the first ingredient is chicken meal, which means a)the largest ingredient is a meat; and b) it's actual chicken meat and not whatever spare chicken parts they had laying around. Flavor Selection They only make two flavors, but my cat has been crazy about both, so I don't need more selection than that.

This is the only food my cat will eat from now on! He goes crazy whenever he hears the bag open and me scooping up the food for him. You can't beat the ingredients either, they are all natural and healthy for cats. The food also helps clean the cats teeth. I can't say that it tastes good but since my cat loves to gobble it down i'll just take his word for it. There are a lot of food out they're with unhealthy additives that cats don't need and may cause health problems. That's why i only trust Taste of the Wild for my kitty cat and my vet recommends it compared to the other name brands out there. They also have a range of flavors that you can pick out for your furry friend. This food has healthy proteins from salmon and roasted venison. I would recommend this to anyone who wants there feline to be healthy and happy with a good source of food that they will love and enjoy until the next time they eat.

We recently switched our cats to Taste of the Wild after we noticed some health issues cropping up among our 5 cats. Sure this is more expensive than the grocery store foods, but without the cheap fillers it definitely keeps our cats satisfied longer. One of our older cats has suffered from dandruff and dry skin, but since we switched I have noticed his coat becoming glossy again, like when he was a kitten. The energy level of our feline friends has also increased by quite a lot, and they don't seem to be as chubby. Definitely worth the extra money for a grain free diet. Quality of Ingredients Real food without cheap fillers and by products go into this fine cat food. Not only do our kitties simply love the taste, but it also keeps them full longer, which leads to less cat food to buy. Flavor Selection There are many more flavor varieties for the Taste of the Wild dog foods, and fewer for the cat varieties, but my cats do not complain with their kibbles. It is a chorus in the morning as they all wait to be fed. If they are happy with the taste selection, who am I to deny!
