I'm not normally a huge fan of almond oil products as they tend to smell almost rancid, but when I tested this out at a Body Shop store I had to bring a jar home. I purchased the 100 gram jar which was a little pricey, but I quickly discovered that it was very potent and a little goes a very long way. I'd say that that little jar that I purchased in late summer lasted me through to the end of that winter, so maybe about six months or so of almost daily use. Of course I used more in the winter, but it still lasted a very long time. I found the scent that I had been apprehensive about to be very light and almost unnoticeable. The cream absorbs quickly and completely and doesn't leave behind a greasy film. It left my hands soft and moisturized and healthy looking. I don't know if I would recommend this for those with very sensitive skin since the almond oil base may be irritating to those skins, but for everyone else it should be good. Overall, I was very pleased by the cream and would definitely recommend it.

I love The Body Shop's Almond Oil Intensive Hand Rescue! When my hands develop dry patches in the winter months or during times of excessive hand-washing, I immediately go for this Intensive Hand Rescue. It is an outstanding product that is thick and creamy, but absorbs beautifully. Breathing in the decadent almond oil fragrance reminds me of a kitchen hand lotion my Mom always kept by the sink. I always loved that smell and the scent of this hand therapy is a favorite. This product goes a long way in not only treating dryness, but also fine cracks that can develop on dry hands. Using the hand rescue allows me to treat these areas before they become painful. The packaging is nice - I always love jars for these kinds of creams because it allows you to use every bit of the product - not wasting a drop of this fabulous stuff! I am a repeat buyer and often recommend this Intensive Hand Rescue to friends.

I really like the Body Shop Almond Oil Intensive Hand Rescue. I like the fact that it is soft and smooth and works quickly to remove dryness from my hands. Unlike some other products that I have tried, this product with its almond oil is light, yet effective on relieving the dry skin on my hands. Scent Light almond scent which is not over powering. Unlike some other hand creams that can irritate the skin, this product by the body shop soothes dry skin without drying it out. Absorption Once you put a couple of drops of oil on your skin and rub it in, it is quickly absorbed. The reason why I like this so much is that once I apply it I can see that it quickly gets to work. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth within seconds of being applied. Effectiveness It feels so soft and smooth and is very effective. I can tell by the way that my hands look and feel that this product is really rescuing my hands. I like to use more hand creams during the winter, and one that I often reach for is this product by The Body Shop, simply because it works.

I am a big fan of The Body Shop products and the Almond line of hand products are my favorite. I have tried all of them. When I first purchased this product, I also bought the Almond hand lotion in a tube as well as the equivalent products in their Hemp line. The store associate told me the Hemp line is from dryer skin as it is thicker but I found just the opposite. The Almond line seems to work better and is longer lasting.. Not only are they pleasantly scented but they are also very effective and keep my hand moist. My skin get very dry in the winter and regular applications really make a difference. I use this in the morning and in the evening before I go to bed for extra moisture. I use the one in the metal tube during the day, I carry it around with me. I do think the price tag is high but I stock up when they have their 50% off sales. I never pay full price. Scent I love the Almond scent. It is one of my favorites from The Body Shop. Absorption The absorbs quickly into the skin. Much quicker than the Hemp line that seems to leave my hands feeling greasy and doesn't seem to last as long. Effectiveness I do reapply several times a day to keep my hands at their best in the winter but I like applying it often due to the pleasant scent.

The Body Shop Almond Oil Intensive Hand Rescue is a good product for occasional use of very dry, cracked skin - like you may experience on the backs of your hands in the cold, winter months. The smell is not too overpowering, though I would prefer a fragrance free option. It is also a very thick product that seems to take a rather considerable amount of time to sink in. Using it in the morning or middle of the day may make your hands a bit too slippery for everyday tasks until it begins to sink into the skin further. Using it just before bedtime may work better, although that may present the problem of making sure the somewhat oiliness of the cream does not stain the sheets or bedding. Overall, not bad for occasional use, although it does not get used everyday mainly because of the length of time required for it to fully soak in, even with frequent rubbing of the hands.

Being a person with extremely dry skin, I find myself using lotions, body butters, etc. several times a day to keep my skin moisturized and hydrated. This product smells delicious and also does a fabulous job of keeping your hands as soft as a glove when used on a regular basis. Almond Intensive Hand Rescue contains sweet almond oil, organic soy oil, shea butter, lanolin, and Vitamins A, E, and F to repair, smooth, and soften your hands and help your skin retain its moisture. Scent The Body Shop Almond Intensive Hand Rescue has a sweet scent to it. It is a nice scent that both men and women would be comfortable with. Absorption The Body Shop Almond Intensive Hand Rescue absorbs quickly and leaves your hands nice and soft. Effectiveness Used on a regular basis your hands will stay soft and moisturized when you use The Body Shop Almond Intensive Hand Rescue. You may could even become a hand model!

I attended a Body Shop home party with my daughter, and it was great because we were able to sample all of the products first hand.  I fell in love with their Almond Oil Intensive Hand Rescue, but my daughter didn't care for the scent of almonds, so she bought another product. This hand cream is very thick and it comes in a small 3.4 ounce tub.  It is packaged like and feels much like the body butters that I use.  There is really no color, it's a light cream, almost white, but it smells wonderful.  If you like the smell of spices and almonds, this is for you! This softens and moisturizes the hands by using almond oil and shea butter, although it is more on the greasy side, so I generally use this at bedtime.  I even purchased a pair of white cotton gloves from Avon that I put on once the product has been applied.  This does two things, it helps keep the oils off of my sheets, and it keeps them in contact with my hands so I get the full benefit of these moisturizing ingredients all night long.  After all, if the cream is rubbing off onto my sheets, it isn't doing me much good, is it?  The container says to "Use with our Moisture Gloves" for an overnight treatment", but the Avon gloves that I purchased were cheaper and worked just fine.  This company works with other countries to help subsidize poor women, and the shea butter than is in this formula comes from Ghana, while the beeswax comes from Zambia.  Because the Intense Hand Repair is so thick and greasy, I don't use it nearly as much as my other hand creams and lotions, and I noticed that after a while the product actually went rancid as I didn't use it quickly enough.  I actually noticed this just this morning, which is what prompted my review.  It contains many of the well known preservatives, so I was surprised to see this.  Still, it lasted longer than some of my "naturally based" products that have only plant based preservatives, so I can't complain.  I would not hesitate to purchase this again, it makes my hands feel so moisturized and has a very healing effect.   Scent I love the scent of this product, it is what sold me on it in the first place. Absorption Greasy but absorbs okay nonetheless. Effectiveness Works really well if you apply this in the evening at bedtime and put on white cotton gloves. Very effective.

It absorbs a bit more slowly than thin creams and lotions but the result is very smooth, hydrated hands. It's heavy duty hand cream that literally smells exactly like delicious almonds. The fragrance lingers on my hands for a while and I love it. ***My Viewpoint*** The Body Shop has a while line of Almond Oil hand products, all of which are just as good as this cream. It is reasonably priced and super concentrated. I really love this hand cream and it's probably my all time favorite. I have many, many hand creams but this one is a treat for my hands and my senses.*** 5 stars.***

The Body Shop's Almond Oil Intence Hand Repair is one of thee best hand lotions known to man. It smells amazing and does wonders to dry skin. This is a product you will love and you will easily recommend to your friends. After rubbing it on your hands they instantly feel hydrated and healthy. It is also so good for your body, with no hard to read ingrediants you feel good about putting this on your hands. This product can also be used by men. It comes in a small compact jar that can fit easily in your purse or backpack. So, if you are a skier or a surfer, this Almond Oil Hand Repair is for you. It will make your hands feel like silk and is also great for your arms and other dry patches. The Body Shop hit it out of the park on this one!

The Body Shop almond Oil Hand Treatment is a great product.  When you have a job like I do and are frequently washing your hands and they tend to get dried out.  Putting this product on after hand washing and before bedtime really shaped my hands up.  The scent is wonderful and doesnt feel greasy or oily after use.
