Have had this oven for 3 years. Electrical panel changed twice (buttons where either to sensitive or to hard to push) and the power kept going out. Whole unit changed once and now the buttons don't work. Paid a lot of money for a poor quality oven.

We purchased a Thermador double oven when we remodeled our kitchen about 3 years ago. I have to admit, I don't think it is worth the high price we paid for it. Right off the bat, we noticed that it made a loud banging noise when in use - like the sides of the oven were popping. A serviceman came out and said that it was the metal expanding but then when he heard the sound, said that he thought that it was a little loud. So, Thermador sent out a new unit. This one still bangs, but not as often nor as loud as the first unit. Thermador also had a recall on some of their ovens, so the repairman came out again and installed some screws to ensure that the insulation was attached properly. The banging still persists, but not like the first unit. I am happy with how it cooks and like the convection feature. I also like the various cooking functions and ease of use of the touchscreen operation. Other than the banging, we have had no problems with it.
