I recently purchased a bottle of the Tide Total Care Renewing Rain liquid detergent and I wont say that its the best detergent that I have ever used but it did do a decent job. To begin with, mud stains were impossible to be removed from my son's clothing and that was the whole purpose of me buying this expensive stain remover product. I guess that with all the hype, I expected a little more bang for my buck. However, on the bright side, it did leave my clothes with a renewed color, softness and a very pleasant smell. I took a chance and tested this on new Christmas clothes that were dirty and I will say that they came out looking just like I had bought them. They were not soiled nor were they visibly dirty but they came out wrinkle free and with the "brand new" look as if I had just bought it from the store. Despite tide not being able to completely get rid of the mud, it reduced it a great amount and I am willing to give it another try on other types of stains (grass, spilled juice..etc). I like that this is an all in one product since I generally use multiple products in order to get my laundry done ( laundry detergent, stain removers, anti- static sheets, dryer sheets etc) and I did notice that this product did a little of everything. Of course not as good as they would separably but it is worth just getting the tide total care.

The Renewing Rain scent of Tide HE liquid detergent is incredible. My clothing smells great, and it is gentle on all of my clothes. I can put them through multiple washes and it doesnt fade fabric. It cleans amazing, I don't have to pre-treat as frequent as I have in the past.

I've used Tide for  years and have loved it until......Tide total care came out. I am more than pissed off. This soap is ruining my clothes! I first used it to pretreat a stain on a white cotton shirt...it came out with grey splotches on it where the soap was. I thought that was wierd...I've since had 2 more white shirts come out with grey splotches just from being washed (without pre-treating them). Neither bleach nor oxyclean will get these stains out - and I didn't dry any of them . I'm contacting Proctor and gamble. I want my money back or a regular bottle of Tide, which by the way works great. They really blew it on this one..I hope they take it off the shelves!!!

I purchased Tide Total Care when it was on sale - I would never pay this much for detergent, as my husband goes through it like water when he does laundry. I think it does a good job of getting the clothes clean, it has a nice pleasant smell, doesn't seem to leave a residue in the washing machine (I use a HE front loader) and overall am happy with the product. The only caveat is that I have tried other detergents that I am happy with as well, and that don't cost so much. I will say that I haven't used it long enough to really evaluate the effect on my clothes, so perhaps my clothes will last longer/look brighter using Tide Total Care, it's hard to say - that experiment would almost have to be done side by side with my other detergent to determine for sure. But for someone who is looking to stick to a (small) budget and has a family full of clothes and household items to wash, I would only buy this again if I had coupons and it was a great sale.

I recently bought **Tide Total Care HE Laundry Detergent Renewing Rain 100 oz. becuase, honestly, I was impressed with the commercials saying it would save my clothes from fading.  I thought it would be a great way to save some money by making my clothing last longer, even if **Tide Total Care HE Laundry Detergent Renewing Rain 100 oz. were a lot more costly than other brands.  Well, I went ahead and tried **Tide Total Care HE Laundry Detergent Renewing Rain 100 oz. for a month or two, but really couldn't notice any difference at all between that and the cheaper brands I've been using.  I will say it makes my clothes softer than cheaper brands, but I didn't see a big enough difference with **Tide Total Care HE Laundry Detergent Renewing Rain 100 oz. to warrant spending the extra money all the time.  I'm just too tight on the budget to warrant it if it's not really making a noticeable difference with my clothing.  ********

First let me say that I have not always used Tide detergent.  I used to use cheaper store brands and whatever was on sale.  I have had a nice front load washer/dryer now for a few years.  In the beginning I was using store brand HE detergent (you need HE for front load).  My washer seemed to have a foul odor even if I kept the door open between uses.  I decided to try Tide HE.  After only one use, the foul odor in the washer was gone.  This made me a believer.  Ever since I have been using Tide HE in my waser.  It is quite a bit more than the store brand equivilant, but it works so much better.  I think the other detergents were leaving behind smelly residue or something.  With the Tide HE my clothes come out feeling and smelling great, and my washer doesn't stink.  It works better than any other detergents I have tried, including a fancy organic HE one.  I am very happy with it and would definately recommend to a friend.

I have used Tide for a long time and when they came out with Tide Total Care and claimed your clothes would look newer longer, I just had to try it.  With kids, I feel like I'm always doing laundry and they get their clothes dirty after once use so I'm constantly washing them.  With that, the clothes will wear out quicker because I have to wash them so often so I knew that if this worked it would save our clothes the wear and tear of a washing machine.  So far I've used this kind of Tide for a little over a year and I think it does what it says.  My kids clothes do look newer longer and they don't get the little fuzzies on the fabric like they used to.  It is a little harder to find this type of Tide since the shelves are lined with so many other types and brands but I make sure I look for it everytime I go and get it on sale.  I will continue to use this since so far I have no complaints about it!
