The Toastmaster T100 Toaster will do the basics, and if all you need is a simple toaster that, well, toasts... it's got you covered for a very small price. The problem I have with the Toastmaster T100 is that it gives me flashbacks to when I was a child and could never get the toast to that perfect spot between too light and crispy black. This toaster does the job, but you have to set it to darker than you think you want and watch it and pop it up in the middle of toasting to that level in order to see any brown on your bread. Also, while watching it as decribed or if you change your mind in the middle and want to pop your bread out before it roasts it to a crisp you must completely unplug the machine. I'm not sure if this is a safety mechanism or a fluke, but it's a big pain when cookig for more than one!

I love my Toastmaster 2 slice toaster. Though my family has pretty much outgrown a 2 slice toaster, this little guy just keeps on ticking! Works great, and toasts evenly - I got it as a wedding gift 9 years ago, and it's still working perfectly as if it were new! The features are very basic, and it is incredibly affordable. The outside stays cool, so no need to concern yourself if the little ones get close. I'm convinced that it will last you many years, and stay consistent. My main review would just be that this Toastmaster toaster is reliable, and hard working! It will last. It is a little messy, but cleans easily from the bottom! I would definitely recommend this to a friend, or buy it for a wedding present knowing that I spent my money well.

We received this toaster as a wedding gift in 2006, so it is almost 5 years old. It worked well for the first 2 years, and then it broke. It now will not turn off/pop up when done. It seems like the dial is stuck or something. However, it still works, and as long as we keep an eye on it and turn the dial to 0 when it is done, it will still toast, so we've kept it as we hardly ever use it. Overall, a fairly decent toaster, but if you use a toaster more often, I suggest a more high-tech one over this one. It takes some trial and error to get the right 'toast' on your bread, depending on how far you turn the dial (time) or how long you leave it in I guess, in our situation. I would've liked a different color other than white, but it's worked so far. I do like the easy cleanability. The bottom unhinges easily and the crumbs are therefore easily shook out and cleaned off the bottom! Score! Do I recommend...hmmm, if you don't mind buying a new toaster every other year...
