I like the ease of use of the tubside bath seat. It feels very snug and secure...there is no way it's going to tip over, unlike some other bath seats. The part that goes over the side of the tub helps to lock it firmly in place. And, it provides some cushion for mom or dad's elbows while they are giving baby a bath! This bath seat is not for newborns but it is great for older children. We used it for my daughter and it is holding up well with our son also. We started using it for them once they could sit comfortably on their own. My son is 18 months old and is still using it. He could sit in the tub on his own but seems to be more comfortable in the seat. I think it gives him a sense of security, and it does the same for me. Of course I'm right there, but this way I know he won't slip on his bottom and hit his head. My only complaint about this seat is that it is difficult to clean. The bottom is in two parts so that the over the tub part can be turned either way. Unfortunately, it is hard to get dry and sometimes mold builds up in the bottom. Ick.

My tub was to deep to use this. So I didn't get to use this one. Plus I mostly used the sink, bath/shower w me. By the time I little one was able to sit up he didn't want anything to do with this. Plus if you have a chunky baby it can be hard to wash them while sitting in this.

The safety 1st tubside seat is wonderful. That being said, I would never but a baby younger than six months in it. My friend was upset because she felt that it wasn't supportive enough. But, her baby wasn't old enough to sit up so he really shouldn't have been using it. This is a life saver for my boys who grew to be too long for the little blue tub very quickly. I feel that it is very secure but still allows for your little one to reach out and splash and play a bit. the top serves as an arm rest for mom/dad while you hold onto and wash your little one. It is very easy to install in your tub and to take out. I actually stopped using it for my older son when he was thirteen months and then started to use it again when he was fourteen months because it kept him from trying to stand up in the tub! He couldn't get out of it quickly for a while and that helped him to not fall in the tub during his attempts to escape the tub!

My son was born on the big side so once he started outgrowing his infant tub I was unsure of what I was going to do. Then my mom had found this baby bath seat at a used baby store so I tried it out and loved it. My son absolutely loved it too. He is almost 9months old now and I am still using it and will continue to use it until he learns how to climb out of it. The one bad thing about it is when my son would poop in the bath it would get stuck up in the seat and was very difficult to clean out.

This bathseat does its purpose, supports baby in the tub with CONSTANT parental supervision in SHALLOW water which is recommended for any child. And as they get oler, it will requires the bath to be half full to just cover the legs. I bought this for my boy when he was about 6 months old, it help him to seat in the tub without  sliding  all over durning bath time. Even it recommand up to 10 months old, my little one was in it till he was about thirteen months old cause he started climbing out of it on his own. The hook also has a nice arm rest for mom and dad.  The down side is that sometime it hard to get out of the seat without rubbing the tights against the seat, would be much better if the top just lifted up to easily pull your child in and out! . I would recommend turning the seat upside down after use to make sure all of the water drains since water does get trapped in the bottom. So far these seats have made bath-time at my house a lot of fun for both babies and parents.
