This is some of the best medicine for cold and coughs, it stopped my cough dead after just the first dose. I had a wracking chest cough for days before I tried this medicine. I was at the point where it hurt to breathe. This was a godsend. Now I won't buy anything else when I get a chest cold!

Let me tell you I have always been a big believer in Vicks Nyquil for treating my colds for years but this year I decided to try something different for a change so I purchased the Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom liquid. Now I'm wondering why I had not tried it before cause it worked awesome on my cold & I was back to normal in no time.

Some brand names simply do not do well at relieving my cold symptoms and one of them is Tylenol. However, even Tylenol has a few products that rank better than the others and one of them is **Tylenol Cold Multi- Symptom Severe.** ** ** **Medicine Commentary:**   Tylenol Cold Multi- Symptom Severe is made with the active ingredients acetaminophen (pain reliever), dextromethorphan (cough suppressant), and phenylephrine (nasal decongestant). These ingredients, combined with the inactive ingredients, work in unison to attack your congestion, cough, sore throat, headache, and aches & pains.     As I said, me and Tylenol do not have a very happy relationship and I normally will not even consider Tylenol when I have a serious need for an over the counter medicine. But Tylenol Cold Multi- Symptom Severe is one exception to that rule. I still do not experience the level of pain relief I would like from this product, but its ability to handle my congestion, sore throat, and other symptoms is decent. The active ingredients are the same as those in other Tylenol cold products, but the levels are increased to the point that the medication offers some decent relief.   **Bottom- Line Viewpoint:**   Tylenol Cold Multi- Symptom Severe don't have a very good taste and the price per pill is a tad high. However, it is a better than other Tylenol cold medications and it offers your best bet to experience at least some relief. I have been using Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom Severe for several years because I got tired of having to buy multiple bottles of different kinds of over-the-counter medicines every time I got a cold. This contains a pain reliever, cough suppressant, expectorant and nasal decongestant all in one tablet. The only thing it lacks is an antihistamine, but since a lot of people take antihistamines regularly for environmental allergies, that might be for the best so that people don't accidentally take too many antihistamines. The recommended adult dose is 2 tablets, but I usually only take one because I get a little jittery (heart-pounding feeling) if I take two. The cost of these is reasonable, but I recently found a generic version at my local independent pharmacy that is even cheaper, so you might want to check the shelf for a generic before you buy the name-brand Tylenol. This product works great to help relieve common cold symptoms like fever, headache, sore throat, nasal congestion, coughing, and chest congestion.

When I catch a cold and it's one of those cold's that you know is going to knock you down hard, I immediately turn to Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom Severe. Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom Severe tackles all of the worst symptoms like sore throat, cough, congestion and makes it a little more bearable so you don't have to be incapacitated while you wait to recover. Although rest is the best medicine for a cold, sometimes that is not an option and you need something that works fast. I also like that the tablets have a minty coating on them. It gives a cooling sensation when you swallow the pills, as opposed to some other pills that can have a bad aftertaste. If you can't swallow pills, they also have it in liquid form. That, too has a minty flavor with a soothing effect on the way down. Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom Severe keeps me from being knocked out of commission so I can go on with my life. I also recommend trying the Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom Severe PM formula as well. Look for the combo packs that contain both Daytime and PM tablets!

If you're looking for relief this is simply not the product for you! Owning my own business in which I have to be on the go and managing both people and animals all day I can't afford to be knocked down by cold symptoms...there's simply no time in my schedule and in this economy with belt tightening on our clients part more and more of the work falls to me as theres little extra funds for employees.  I purchased this medication in liquid form as, in general, liquids seem to give quicker relief as they are more readily absorbed into the system and, frankly, when you've already got a sore throat who want to be swallowing a horse sized pill or two? I purchased the day-time product to avoid drowsiness and I'll credit it for that...it did not make me drowsy.  However, their "Cool Burst" flavour has to be the absolute worst tasting stuff I've ever encountered....so much so that after one dose (which did very little to remove my symptoms of congestion, headache, coughing and sore throat) the bottle has sat full minus the one dose. No relief, horrible taste, and expensive to boot...not my idea of a good buy.
