My best friend gave us an UNO waffle maker for our wedding, and we use it several times a month to make amazing waffles.  The UNO waffle maker comes with changeable waffle plates, so you can make traditional thick waffles or thin, heart-shaped waffles.  The UNO has heat settings from 1-6, and it has an indicator light to let you know when it's hot enough to start making the waffles.  I have always put the maker on the highest heat setting because this ensures that the waffles will be cooked all the way through.  The changeable plates are easy to take out and clean, and it's easy to change from traditional to heart-shaped waffles.  The heart-shaped waffle plate is much thinner than the traditional waffle plate, so I would recommend this size for children.  One of the best things about this waffle maker is that it beeps when the waffles are ready, so you don't have to ruin the waffle by checking on it.  I do need to usually leave them in there about a minute after the beep for the first batch because it needs a little extra heat since it just got hot.  Overall, this is a great waffle maker, and I would recommend it to anyone!
