Downey has come out with a lot of new scents here lately and I have been trying a lot of different ones. This scent is pleasant and fresh smelling. It really does remind me of a waterfall scent. It reminds me of a scent that is similar to one of relaxing aromatherapy. It leaves my clothes and towels very soft and smelling wonderful. I use downey on my towels to remove the mildew smell from them from sitting in the laundry basket too long. Sometimes I cannot wash my towels immediately and the dampness makes them smell terribly. When I use this wonderful new scent of downey it removes this mildew smell and leaves them smelling fresh and clean. Also I have noticed that my clothes that have a terrible odor from sweat is removed as well with this brand of downey softener. Normally it takes two wash cycles for this smell to be completely removed from my clothing. I would have to say I really like this scent a lot.

I am having trouble with the odor in my front load washer and decided to read the instructions on the back of the Downy bottle. It states not to use on towels & cotton. Don't know about you, but must of my stuff if cotton. Sheets. towels, jeans, underwear, tee-shirts, etc. So if it is NOT intended for cotton, THEN WHY ARE WE BUYING IT????

There is comfort in using a brand that you have relied on for years and years and are so happy with it that you have no thoughts of changing brands, I am very value conscious and find myself more and more looking for great values in the products I use. But while I might find a less expensive brand of fabric softener, I will not replace the value from Downy brand softener. I use both the dryer sheets, for every load that goes into the dryer, but also downy liquid for use when I wash bedding. I live in an apartment and use a laundry room, so I find the ease of using the sheets on a daily basis works best for me, but when I do bedding, I like the extra softness and spring fresh scent I get from using the liquid. I miss having a line to hang out laundry, but the tradeoff of softness and great smell in fresly washed bed linens is unbeatable. I am a couponer and there are almost always coupons available to provide some great buys on a truly great product.

I have found that all liquid fabric softners make the clothing soft and static free. Liquid softners work better overall than sheets. Typically I purchase the least expensive liquid or sheet product since they all do an effective job. However, I did find that this Ultra Downy Tahitian Waterfall softner had a rather unique and pleasant scent. I particularly like in on sheets and towels and the towels seem to be real fluffy with the use of this product. My husband did not like the scent on his clothing as he thought it was too feminine smelling especially since the scent is rather strong. I would purchase this with a coupon and use it for loads of laundry that did not include my husband's clothing. I also find it very good for putting some full strength on a wash cloth and leaving it in the bathroom to act as air freshner. When I open my clothing drawers I can smell the nice clean scent. I would recommend this to my friends.

I would first like to say that I love using Downy, just not the Tahitian Waterfall.  It didn't smell like "laundry" should to me.  I love the smell of April Fresh Downy (the pink one), and would highly recommend it to anyone.  The product does make my laundry so soft and snuggly, even without a water softener.  The April Fresh scent makes me feel like my laundry is nice and clean.  One of my favorite things is to crawl into a bed with fresh linens that have that wonderful scent on them.  Or to snuggle in a blanket that has just been washed with Downy.  I'm not sure that the scent lasts an entire week, though.  I haven't experienced that with Downy, or any other fabric softener for that matter.  The cost of Downy is higher than other brands or store brands, but I enjoy the scent and softness so much, that I am willing to pay a little more.  When I use coupons, it helps to offset the cost difference.

Ever since I was little my mom has been using Downy, and now that I have a house of my own I use it as well.  I love this new Tahitian Waterfall scent as well.  It smells great!  I normally use the April Fresh but I like to try new scents as well.  I have found Downy to be the best fabric softener that there is.  I really love to use it and it makes my clothes feel soft and smell great.  I find that the Tide detergent and Downy liquid fabric softener are a great combination and really leave clothes smelling fresh.  I do wish that Downy was not so expensive.  I have tried other brands that do okay but none that I like as good as Downy.  It would be nice to have the fabric softener be a little cheaper to help us budget conscious follks out every once in awhile or at least put some good coupons in the paper for it.  Twenty-five scents off really doesn't go too far.  Overall, though, I love Downy.

I am a twenty three year old mom of two young children. Growing up, we always used dryer sheets and never fabric softener becasue it was so much more expensive. One day I was introduced to Ultra Downy and I love it! I have never gone back. The difference of washing my clothes in fabric softener versus using a dryer sheet is crazy to me. The softness and the smell are amazing to me! I wish I used this my whole life!  I never thought it would make so much of a difference to me! Yeah, it tends to be more expensive, but to me it is totally worth it! My favrorite thing to wash in fabric softener is my sheets! There is nothing like getting in freshly washed sheets in fabric softenener. There is not one negative thing I can say about Downy. It is great! If you have never tried it, you should and you will never go back to a dryer sheet again! If you have ever thougth about switching, you should try it, you will not regret it!
