If you can only have one kitchen appliance, this is it.

I can't say enough good things about the Vitamix. The easy of use, the variety of things you can make, it makes this machine the best appliance you can buy. Any machine that can blend with ease for smoothies, heat up the contents to make soup, or freeze the contents to make ice cream is worth the counter space being saved and if you add up the price of each individual appliance, this comes in much less. Blending Power There's not a food out there that this Vitamix can not blend. Whether you want to blend slow or super fast, it can do it all. Versatility From healthy smoothies/juices, ice cream, to soups...I don't think you can get anymore versatile than this. Ease of Cleaning You clean it by adding hot water and soap and turning it on. Rinse it out and your done. I won't use things that are too hard to clean, but this is a breeze. Ease of Use Just don't forget to put on the lid...but it's super easy and super quick. The hardest part is deciding what to put in the smoothie or soup (or whatever else you are making). Design They have tall and short blender products to use with any size counter space. Great product all around. Durability I'm pretty sure there is a 10 year warranty. I've had my Vitamix for 4 years and have never had a single problem with it.

Great for breakfast

I really only bought this for making morning smoothies. It may be the most expensive 'blender' I ever bought, but it works great! When throwing spinach in, it does not leave you little spinach leaves- it really does make the spinach into smithereens. The same for blueberries- I rarely ever get the blueberry skins that I have seen using other machines. It also is pretty good for margarita making too. There were no ice chunks or rounded ice cubes that I would get with my Magic Bullet. Prior to this purchase I had the Magic Bullet, but I needed just something more powerful. I made pesto with it once and it worked okay...I learned that I don't like pesto. Cleaning it---I've only ever washed it in my kitchen sink. Not sure if you can put it in the microwave. It is pretty easy to clean up. I never really looked at the more expensive models that my friends have bought, so I am happy with my very pricey blender.

The Best Blender for Speed and Use

4

I felt that this looked very old with it's knobs and other buttons, you'd think this product was from 2002. However the style grew on me and I found myself fond with the use of the blender and the speed adjustments. It was basically a great ol' blender that can just do about anything you want, such as smoothies and cocktails. Overall this blender did what it's suppose to, even though it wasn't luxurious or fancy. It was efficient and very easy to use, and it didn't break down! I was glad I stuck with this blender after I had issues with ones in the past. Blending Power Pretty good and adjustable, very good. Versatility Decent, but could have been much simplistic. Ease of Cleaning Very simple to clean up after you make any beverage or crushing ice. Ease of Use Very easy to use, I just love it! Design Basic design that looks like from 2002, but the product itself saved it from severe penalty. Durability This has lasted since I bought it back in October, I'm so happy.

turbo blender and more

I love love this blender. I have had it for at least 6 years and it is still going strong. You can make just about anything in it as well as cook in it. I love making pureed oatmeal for breakfast and instead of cooking it on the stove and then transferring it to the blender I just put all the ingredients in the vitamix and let it run on high and it cooks and purees for me at the same time. Blending Power It blends everything quickly and easily including ice and frozen fruit like hard strawberries. Versatility I use to to make smoothies, chop ice, make soups and salsas and speciality drinks. The sky is the limit. Ease of Cleaning Although cleaning the vitamix is pretty simple- I like to put a few drops of dish soap with water and let it run on high and it does a good job of scrubbing itself. The one thing I wish was different is that you can't remove the bottom of the jar to ensure a thorough cleaning. Also something to consider is the jar is plastic so it can absorb odors. I try to never let food sit in it too long to avoid odors staying in the plastic

This product is amazing I use it for almost everything. When I'm in the need for a smoothie, crushed ice, cocktails, or milkshake this is what I use. It's easy to use, easy to clean as well, the design is pretty good, I love this blender. When I first got it I used it just about everyday.

A must have for smoothies

5

This was recommended by several chef friends and health nut friends. This blender is a must for smooth smoothies. I am able to put anything in it without chunks. I also love that it comes with a tamper so you don't have to open it and stick a spoon, fork, or knife in to scrape the side or unclog it (which I had to do with my past blender). It's also a great way to trick the family (and yourself) into eating a snack that is healthier than you think. Some frozen bananas, peanut butter, and almond like make an amazing "ice cream." Just be sure to eat it ASAP because it doesn't store in the freezer like real ice cream. The only thing I don't love is that the shape and material are not very fancy looking for a piece of equipment that costs so much. Also, something else to really think about )which I almost missed in the details), although they seem to last forever for home use, it only comes with a 3 year warranty (other vita mixes are 7 years).

We Use This DAILY!

5

As a family who drinks a lot of greens smoothies and lots of raw foods, we find that having great set of preparation tools is essential. One of the things we have always had is the Vitamix machine. When our Vitamix 4000 died after giving us many years of faithful service, we were upset to find that they did not make replacement parts anymore. We had come to depend on our Vitamix for daily food preparation so we needed something soon. One of the machines that caught our eye was the Vita-Prep machine **The Bottom Line** We love to make raw soups and sauces, and the Vita-Prep does a better job than any other appliance we have ever tried. Our life is made much easier with this. The only thing I am not fond of is the center dial will travel when it is variable mode, but holding it in place takes care of that. I don't like it, but it really is not that hard to cope with at all. It is expensive, but does the job that no other blender has done that we have ever worked with. We depend on green smoothies and sauces for our health so this is a very important appliance for us. Blending Power This powerful blender works better than anything I have used- it pulverizes the greens so that you do not have any particles at all- everything is buttery smooth. No other blender and not even the old Vitamix we had does this for smoothies. Also, you can grind up strawberry tops, pineapple cores, and other things that you can never blend with a regular blender. Versatility You can make soups, smoothies, grind flour, seeds, make purees, sauces, and other things that are fantastic- including soy milk, although I would prefer the soymilk maker for that. Also a great ice crusher. Ease of Cleaning Fast and easy= fill with water, whizz and rinse. If using greasy stuff, put in some grease cutters and you are good to go. Ease of Use The Vita-Prep is used primarily for green smoothies. This is made from hard deep greens like turnip greens, kale, collard, etc, and pineapple, bananas, berries or any other fruilts or vegetables that we want to use to make it a nice raw drink. Design The Vita-Prep from Vitamix looks like a blender. It has a plastic container that is 64oz in size. The top either fits on the inside of the rim of the lid or clipped to the outside of the container- I have seen them both ways. The blades inside are sharp and fixed in the container. It does not come apart. The base is black with two flip switches- the right side is for on and off, and the left side takes it from incremental blending using the center dial which goes up from 1-10 in speed. Durability So far so good- we have had this a couple of years now and it is going strong.

The Vita-Prep Vita-Mix is an awesome blender!

5

This is an outstanding blender! I have had it for a number of years, and never had any problems with it. I originally purchased it because our now 9-year-old son is G-tube fed, and we needed something that would actually pulverize whatever we put into it. The blenders we were using left chuncks of meat and vegetables that would completely clog his feeding tube. We had heard about how high-powered the Vita-Mix was and decided we should invest in one. We went for this commercial model because, at the time it was the least expensive one we could find. I am telling you that this thing just pulverizes everything! It will cut up cherry pits! (Although they don't get as finely chopped as the fruit. :-) I can say that I have never regretted buying this blender. Even with an expensive initial price tag, the job it does is totally worth it. Not only that, but this commercial model comes with a 3 year warranty. The home versions come with a 7 year warranty. You will not be disappointed by deciding to buy this super, high-powered blender!

This blender is okay

This blender is okay but I would take it back if I could because I would just use a palin instead. The smoothies come out with good texture but I don't see why I can't just use a regular blender for the job. This was too expensive for what it is.
