This is my second favorite allergy medicine for the spring when the pollen hits me hard. The national brand of Zyrtec costs a little more so I just bought this one instead. My allergies can get so bad in the spring that even with a 24-hour allergy pill, I'll have to take a Benadryl at night to relieve symptoms. I rarely have to do that with the Wal-Zyr. I don't wait until symptoms begin before taking it, though, so I am not sure if it's fast acting or not. I try to get this stuff into my body at least a week before the allergies begin because once I start sneezing and get a runny nose, it's hard to contain. Wal-Zyr stops the sneezing, runny nose, water eyes but I still get itchy eyes. Not as bad as if I didn't take the meds, though. I think allergy meds are still affordable when compared to prescriptions, especially if you buy the store brands. Now, for the reason this is my second favorite and not my first. It tends to make me jittery. Last spring I stopped using it for a few days and used another allergy med because the Wal-Zyr was making me feel like I'd been consuming too much caffeine. Sometimes you just have to weigh the pros against the cons.

I have never been much of a fan of store brand products, I always just assumed that they would not work as well. My husband is much more budget conscious than I am and he picked this up one day when his allergies were really bothering him because it was the cheapest. He swore that it worked but for the longest time I was resistant and kept buying the brand name for our daughter and I. One day we were out and my pollen allergies started really bothering me. He had his Wal-Zyr with him and so I took it. I actually think that it worked faster than the brand name that I usually use. I didn't feel 100% better but I felt 99% better and I felt improvement pretty quickly. Considering how much less expensive this is I will take feeling 99% better especially since it works really quickly, which is important to me because i never remember to take "daily" allergy medicine unless my allergies are bothering me. Also it has never made me sleepy or groggy.

I have allergies that only seem to creep up at the most inopportune times. I have used a lot of products to combat them and this is one that does not seem to work as well for me. I have tried this product more than once and both times, it seemed as though it just did not work. I took it to stop my itchy eyes, nose, and throat, and runny nose. My eyes were also watering at the time due to the allergies. I had this attack in spring, so I am assuming that it was pollen. This medication did not really help all of my symptoms. I can say that the itchiness went down, but the runny nose and watery eyes did not. I was still blowing my nose every five minutes. I actually could have withstood the itchiness; it was definitely the running of my nose and eyes that was bothering me the most. This is not a product that I would recommend. There are so many other products on the market that help allergies better than this one.

I used this product to try and ward off some severe reactions I was having to an unknown food allergy. After going to the Doctor, he told me that they couldn't determine the reason for the allergy, so he suggested I go on this type of product and use it on a regular basis for several weeks, to see if that would keep the severe itching at bay. I decided to try this product because it was much less expensive than the others like it. I used it for a few days and felt like it didn't really make any kind of difference. I had hoped that after getting it into my system, it would build up a barrier for the histamines and I would get some relief that would be long lasting. It didn't ever seem to kick in to the degree that was needed, and I ended up not continuing with this type of treatment. I switched to using a Benadryl product that I would take on an as needed basis. I don;t know how effective this would be for seasonal allergies, but for the hives issue, it turned out to be completely ineffective.

This is one of the best allergy tablets that I have used. It works as well or even better than the name brand and cost half the price of Zyrtec D. It gives long lasting protection from runny nose, eyes and scratchy throat. I have used the Wal-zyr for over ten years now and I am completely satisfied with the results I get each and every time! Effectiveness It will keep you symptom free for four to six hours and has very little side effects, other than dry mouth I have not experienced any problem with these tablets. They even seem to me to work better than the name brand product. Ease of Use How much easier could it be than to just pop a pill in your mouth and in about twenty minutes be symptom free! It is one of the best! Immediacy It works very fast and the only way it could be any better would be for it to work immediately! I think that if you give these pills a try you will not be disappointed, they have it all!

For years I have had bad sinus and allergy issues. At least one a month I would have a few days (or even a week) where I would be so congested, coughing, and sneezing that everybody at work would stay away from me. So I would pick up something to take for the week and be fine until the next month. Earlier this year I had a bad issue to where I couldn't breath well. I went to an allergist who said that I needed to start taking something daily (not just when I had the symptoms, but something preventative as well). I had just purchased the Wal-Zyr, and she said that if that continued to work, no prescription would be necessary. Well, now it's been seven months, and all of those allergy issues are close to gone. I may have a day where I wake up a bit congested, or a night where I'm coughing a bit, but no longer are there days of it. The only thing I changed was taking this pill. Now, I've only had to use my inhaler for asthma twice this year, when others I know have had to use their's regularly. This product seems to keep my allergy symptoms in check. I bought the economy size (300 pills), so it will basically last me the whole year. Price is much, much better than the name brand, and it has so far worked very well for me. Great for those who seem to suffer all year with allergy issues. I would talk to your doctor before using this instead of a prescription, but in my case my doctor feels it is working fine. And much cheaper than a prescription too. I can't recommend this product enough! Ease of Use only once a day
