I love this waffle maker!

I've had my Waring waffle maker for about 5-6 years. It was totally worth the money I spent on it. This is so easy to use. If you've ever used the ones at the hotels (which is what prompted me to buy one), you'll love having this in your home. Just put the correct amount of batter on the iron, close it up, flip it over and let it cook for about a minute (it will signal when it's ready), and you have a perfect waffle. The drip pan below makes for easy clean-up if it does spill out due to too much batter on the iron. Performance Solid as a rock - I've not had any issues with this product in the 5-6 years I've had it. Settings/Features Very easy to understand. Both work great. Ease of Cleaning Even if you put too much batter on the iron, it's still very easy to clean up the iron. Just wipe it down and put away. Drip pan may go in the dishwasher though if needed. Ease of Use Doesn't require a lot of thought - turn it on, put the batter in, flip it over, and it's done when it signals (about a minute later). Very easy to make and freeze for later too. Durability I've had mine for 5-6 years now and no issues with it - works as great as it did the day I pulled it out of the box.

Belgain Waffle Maker

Overall the Waring Pro single Belgian Waffle iron is effective. We enjoy using it for our small family on the weekends. It heats up quickly, and is easy to rotate for even cooking on both sides. We enjoy having homemade waffles; this budget friendly appliance works for our needs. Settings/Features This waffle iron allows you to plug it in to an outlet; there is a light that indicates when it is heated. Upon flipping the waffle maker, there is a light that indicates when the waffle is cooked (done), I tend to cook an additional minute for preference and to help with removing waffle from the cooker. Also, even though the waffle iron says non-stick, I always butter the skillet for flavor and assisting with removing. Ease of Cleaning Unfortunately, it is not the easiest to clean. It takes several times of thoroughly wiping to ensure that all crumbs and remnants are removed from the iron. There is a drip tray which is easy to remove and wipe down. Most of the mess is in the cooking iron, and is small leftover pieces from removing the waffle. This is a hassle to clean.

Love this Waring Belgian Waffle Maker

There is nothing like a crisp hot waffle dripping with butter and real maple syrup on a leisurely day off, and to be able to do it while still in your jammies makes life that much better. My biggest problem is that I am Celiac, and no one makes gluten free waffles. Enter the Waring Belgian Waffle Maker. Pros: It heats up in a jiffy, with an indicator light letting you know that it's ready, and another one to let you know when your waffle is done. it reheats in a flash in between waffles, too. The non-stick plates only require a little spray with the first waffle. After that, nothing sticks and clean up takes just moments. It gets hot enough to make a perfectly crispy waffle each and every time. (Some of the lesser quality waffle irons make floppy waffles, which is just wrong.) Being able to rotate the iron helps to make sure the batter fills every inch of the plates, assuring you get those lovely deep pockets to hold butter and syrup, or ice cream, or even fried chicken and honey. (I make a bacon waffle and layer it with fried chicken breasts and warmed honey for the best chicken and waffle sandwich on the planet.) Cons: It took a little bit of experimenting to come upon the perfect amount of batter, but this is the kind of science I can definitely live with :) The outside gets hot. Not just warm, hot. I'm not surprised and anticipated this before I even used it the first time, but some may not be expecting it. The cord is short. I understand why, it's so you don't use it in a way that could cause a child to grab the cord and pull it down on themselves, but unless your kitchen has outlets every few inches you may have to maneuver other stuff around on your counter to accommodate this. It's a little awkward in shape and size, so it doesn't live on my counter. I wish it could, I would use it every day if I didn't have to schlep it up and down. In short, get one. Learn to use it, and use it often.

Will Meet any Waffle-Loving Family's Expectations!

This waffle maker has got to be one of the best purchases that my family has ever made. Sometimes you take and chance and buy these gadgets and they never live up to the hype or don't last long enough to get your money's worth. Well, in the case of the Waring Pro Waffle Iron, I can vouch and say that it WORKS! I love waffles, especially the fresh ones served at nice diners. I'm able to make my own with this Iron. Here is the low down (good and not-as-good): 1) The Iron does take up space (mostly length-wise) and may not be something you want on display because of this fact. 2) Comes with a glass container and a lid for the container (to store your batter in)--not sure if they all come with these extras or if this was just a special deal we received?. 3) VERY Easy to clean! [TIP: I spray the iron "plates" with a non-stick spray to ensure easy removal and less mess.] When the last waffle is removed from the iron, while the iron is still hot, I use a wet paper towel or dish cloth to remove any oils, crumbs, etc.,... The beauty of it is that it's like a non-stick surface, so hardly anything sticks. 4) There is an indicator light that lights up and beeps when the iron is ready to start cooking the first waffle. The same feature alerts you when the waffle is completely cooked. 5) The electrical cord could benefit from just a tad bit more length, if you ask me. 6) Obviously, because it's a Single waffle maker, if you're preparing multiples in a batch, there is a tendency for the waffles to become cold/exposed to air while waiting. Therefore, I like to store the finished waffles in the oven on "Warm" (or just a tad higher heat) in order to keep the crispy and fluffy deliciousness preserved while I finish the remaining waffles. Overall, I reiterate that this is one of THE best buys that our family has ever made!
