The two most important things I was looking for in a dishwasher were energy efficiency and high temperature wash system. I guess this seems contradictory, but even though I was looking for energy efficiency, I was also looking for a dishwasher capable of sanitizing, if necessary. This is a big family and any means to keep germs from spreading is not only appreciated, but necessary. This dishwasher has that and many more features making it an outstanding purchase for my home. A really nice feature is that it washes with approximately one half the amount of water and energy that my old dishwasher used. Noise Level This is the quietest dishwasher I have ever owned. The dishwasher is equipped with a "Quiet" package and sound-reducing insulation which allows me to run the dishwasher without it interfering with homework time or TV time. Cleaning Time There is an eco-cleaning cycle when I need to just get a smaller load washed quickly, but also has a normal one hour cycle. If I want a longer wash time, I can program the dishwasher to wash during the night. If I chose that, it rinses the dishes and then holds them for washing later. Loading Flexibility Tall or oddly shaped items can be loaded on either rack. The silverware basket is movable from the bottom rack to the door. Design Classy design and I was able to get it in white. It also comes in stainless steel, biscuit, and black. Durability I just have no complaints about this dishwasher at all. It does the job I want it to do when I want it to do it. The dishes always come out clean and shiny.

When I purchased my new home, I was in desperate need of an update in the kitchen. After looking of many reviews, price matching, reading product details, and getting recommendations from friends; I bought this Whirlpool dishwasher. It has a pretty sleek and simple design. It doesn't overwhelm you with a bunch of outward buttons and lights. It is relatively quite. It isn't completely sound proof, but it can easily be drowned out by regular background noise that goes on in our homes. It is the noisiest when it is filling up with water to start washing. I would have to say it does a pretty good job on cleaning the dishes. I would just recommend rinsing the dishes as well as not over filling the dishwasher. It washes the dishes in a good amount of time. Probably does a load in about 45 minutes. I do like that it has organized racks that are fitted to fit certain dishes. There is no guessing on where to put in the next plate or bowl. It is a pretty great value for the price.

This is a good dishwasher in it's class. I replaced my 15 year old dishwasher with this one and with the new energy saving features I was expecting to see some difference. I do not see any noticeable difference in my electric bill but the wash cycles are much longer than my old one and it makes me wonder how it is saving energy. The dishes do come out clean and the air dry option does work great. Another thing I've noticed with this dishwasher is that it needs a rinse agent. My old dishwasher did not need that and my plastic containers still got dry. However, with my new whirlpool without the rinse agent the plastic containers don't dry completely. Noise Level It's pretty quiet and I've not noticed any noise that is bothersome. Cleaning Time The cycles are very long. Loading Flexibility The loading trays are pretty effecient in handling various shapes and sizes. Performance Cleans the dishes fine. Design Comparable to other dishwashers in the market. Durability So far it's been running great with no problems.

This is a pretty good dishwasher for the money. It cleans well and is very quiet when running. It can be a bit loud when it fills with water initially but then I don't hear it again. It cleans the dishes quite well and in good time. My only complaint is the cleaning of the silverware. The basket is located in the door, which I really like for space. The basket can be moved to the racks if there is space and I have done that before. I don't think that the silverware gets super clean if the basket is in the door. If I pre-rinse the silverware, it seems to do fine but that is an extra step I didn't have to do on my old dishwasher. Overall, I would purchase this again. I have been pleased. Noise Level Quiet when running. Loading Flexibility Lots of choices to load and silverware basket can go on racks or in the door.
