I have owned the Whirlpool Duet GEW9200LL1 electronic electric dryer since 2004.  I purchased mine with the optional pedestal (drawer opens out to store your detergents, softeners and hangers.  It raises the dryer height about 13 inches making the unit total height of 51 inches).  The dryer has many features:  automatic cycles (heavy duty, normal, casual, delicate and super delicate, manual cycles (timed dry, touch up and quick dry).  You can select the dryness level (normal, more dry or less dry).  You can also add more time to the wash or reduce the wash time.  There is a status section that illuminates at each interval of the washing cycle (sensing, wet, damp, cool down, cycle complete, wrinkle shield and control locked).  There is a window with the estimated time remaining.  There is also a pause/cancel button. You can set the cycle to add wrinkle shield (turns on the dryer every five minutes for 1 minute after a load has finished to prevent your clothes from wrinkling).  In manual cycles you can set the temperature of the dryer (high, medium, low, extra low, air only).  It even has an end of cycle signal that you can set to high frequency signal , low frequency signal or no signal at all. All in all, my family is very happy with this dryer unit.

I bought our Whirlpool Duet (model# wed9200sq0) in Feb.2010.It's not a super fancy dryer w/ a lot of buttons & options.It has useful features for regular everyday use & it is easy to use.I wash huge loads. This dryer can handle these huge loads & in nearly the same amount of time as it takes to wash the loads.I'm really happy w/ it.I think it is worth the money.

We bought this dryer with the matching Whirlpool Duet washer and are very pleased with it. This dryer fits so much in one load, I can wash a full set of sheets with my comforter and have everything come out dry the first time around. The settings on the dryer make it easy to start an automatic load, or you can set it to a time dry if you need to stick something back in. The one thing that I would recommend is to buy the foot pedastal because the unit is low on the ground without it. We didn't buy it, and getting it now would be pretty hard to sneak it up under the bottom of the dryer without paying someone to do it. Other than that, this dryer works so well, and really dries stuff fast. A full load of jeans and sweatshirts still only takes the 35-40 minutes where in our old dryer it would take over an hour. I know the steam or gas dryers are more efficient, but we only have the electric option the way our house is built, this dryer doesn't even really put a dent in our electric bill so we are pretty satisfied. I also love the wrinkle free option in case I don't hear the end timer, the wrinkle free setting will keep spinning the clothes every minute or so so that they don't wrinkle just sitting there.

I use this dryer on everything! I love the shelf that can be inserted to allow items to not be agitated at all, the shelf allows ultra-delicate items to get dried without tubmbling, furthermore the enormous capacity allows me to dry sometimes two wash loads at once! The Whirlpool Electric Dryer has a plethora of settings, choose any dry time length, choose the level of "dryness", choose the strength of agitation, choose no heat, just tumble, and even have it alert you when finished. I am really glad the dryer door was self-removable and adjustable to open the opposite direction (unlike the washer) because of the unique space it was going in it needed to open the opposite direction. I have no complaints for my Whirlpool Duet dryer, I also suggest buying the bases to allow you to reach in easier and store additional items. With multiple settings, long-lifespan, resonable price considering the quality, and good value, I recomend this dryer.

I love this dryer! First of all, it is really easy to use and highly efficient. It doesn't take long for the clothes to get dry ( compared to my previous experiences with other dryers) which means not only does it save you time, but it saves you money at the end of the month. There is nothing wrong with that! There is a touch up cycle option that works great if your clothes are not completely dry. I use this option if I have a really heavy load. Also, you can fit quite a big load in the dryer, which surprised me. You can really fit quite a few towels and other bulky items in there. I don't have the pedestals, but it does not take that much effort to bend over and throw the clothes in. I have had this washer for a few years already and haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. I have moved a few times, and it has survived so far! Its definietly worth the money. Also, I just love the look of the front loader machines. The design is very sleek.
