Look at different brands as fast as you can. It is very poorly built. Design Obviously the design is flawed since it broke down after just one year and seems impossible for repair technicians to right the problem correctly. Durability This washing machine lasted one year and four days before the bearings went and the entire thing had to be rebuilt. Just long enough to be out of manufacturer's warranty. Now that it has been repaired and rebuilt it is so loud, rattling and disturbing that it is impossible to have a conversation when in the same room as the washer.

we bought both a washer and a dryer jan. 2010. so far the computer board on the dryer has been replaced twice. two other switches have been replaced along with other repairs. we cannot keep the washer balanced, the odor from inside is awful even with the washer cleaner. now we are having to replace more electronics in this.with all the service calls and parts we would have come out cheaper purchasing new  washer & dryer

This is a good washer, but does not compare to my Whirlpool top loader that I had previously.  It seems to run forever and I have no clue how much water it uses.  There is no setting for a small load as there is on other washers.  However it does clean most clothes that I put into it and it does get out a lot of stains.  I am still experimenting with the different settings tha are on it to get the clothes as clean as possible. Make sure you are using the correct soap for this machine or you could have trouble with it - I am told you must use the soap that is HE in order to protect your washing machine from any future damage.  I only use liquids in my machine and have not had any trouble with it. We also got the pedestal for this washer which makes it a much better height for putting clothes into and out of the washer.   There is a  drawer underneath that is great for storage.  It has enough room to store all of your laundry products in it.

We got these a few years ago at tax time and we are so glad that we did because it has helped our growing family a lot on saving time with the laundry. It litrally cut laundry time in half for us it is great.

The whirlpool washer is a stain killer yet it is as quiet as a mouse. Laundry used to be something that I dread doing. I had to wash the stains out before I could put them in to the washer. Even then my old washer did not get the job done. I would pull out the clothes and still see where the stains were. Once I got my new washer I put in a load of dirty clothes it only took them 30 minutes! My old washer took almost an hour. The best part was that there were no stains. I was able to take them out of th washer and put them straight to the dryer, something that I have not done in at least a year. Instead of having to take days to do laundry I was done with eight loads in around 5 hours. It was great and the washer made no noise at all. It ran water and that was the last sound it made until the beep at the end to let me know it was finished. The whole experience was wonderful. I sat and read a book and did my kids clothes all in a day.
