I have had a Proctor Silex bread machine for over 10 years and love it.  On the weekends I get it ready at night and wake up to the smell of fresh baked bread.  It will give you a reason to get out of bed.  The bread machine has also encouraged me to eat healthier.  What goes better with fresh bread than fresh fruit and cream cheese, low fat of course.  At other times fresh bread and warm soup loaded with vegetables.  Or save the dishwasher, make a special loaf of bread, grab the wine and cheese.  The holidays are their own special occasion, I would love to have two then I could make plenty of fresh bread at the same time.  Instead I usually make bread the day before so noone feels cheated about not having the newest bread.  Bread doesn't stay fresh as long as store bought but oh the rewards.  The only complication of course is when you throw out the stir paddle with the last bit of bread, oh no.
