We got the Black & Decker 4-Slice Model T4030 for Christmas, after our last 4-slice toaster had quit working a few months ago. The toaster has the extra wide slots for bagels, and it will adjust for your items automatically.It also has a freezer mode that will take items straight from the freezer thaw them and toast them, just right for you to eat. Toasting Evenness So far everything has come out very well for me, if it was over cooked it was because I put it back down again. Ease of Cleaning The crumb trays are in the back, not in the front where I am used to them being , but that is fine. They clean out just as well. Design The toaster itself looks nice it is chrome and black, and shines up nice.

I love this toaster. I've had it for about two years now and it's still holding up very well! I use it weekly to toast bread, bagel, waffles, and other foods. It's very easy to clean, I just put some spritz on a rag, give it a quick wipe and all the dirt/food comes off easily. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a study, high-quality toaster should invest in this one.

The extra wide slots can fit bagels, muffins, rolls, buscuits, etc... so long as you cut them in half first.  Electronic push button controls each with an indicator blue LED light for defrost, bagel and cancel buttons.  Light-to-dark shade selections from 1 to 6 shade levels.  The toaster measures approximately 12 inches wide by 11 inches long by 8 inches tall.  Power output:  1400 watts.  It has 2 removable crumb trays.  Sleeking looking finish. I received my black and decker 4 slice toaster for Christmas this year and I am very happy with it! I wanted something that looked a bit nicer in my kitchen, and I think this looks great! It is a high quality toaster and it does the job just right. It has very wide slots so I can toast bagels and other frozen items easily. Some say it is large, but I am really happy with the size.I like that it has the present buttons for bagels and frozen items, and a cancel button. I haven't really had much use for them, but I like to have the option. The slots are deep. which can be usful for some items, you have to be careful when putting smaller items like bread and toaster strudels in. The nice thing about this toaster is that when you are cooking a bagel, it only toasts the inside, which I haven't seen in many other models. All in All this toaster is PERFECT for a bagel lover, and great for regular toasting needs as well. It is a great price, I am very happy with it.

We needed to upgrade to a 4 slice toaster since we have kids and breakfast time is crazy around here! We have a two slice toaster, but when kids wants toast, pop tarts, and waffles for breakfast, we needed something bigger. I read a few reviews on four slice toasters and finally decided on this Black and Decker 4 Slice Toaster. So far I couldn't be more pleased. It can obviously toast 4 slices of something all at once. It can also easily handle a bagel, since the slots are a little wider. I also like that there are preset buttons on the toaster. This takes some of the guesswork out of toasting different items. I haven't had any issues with this toaster so far, so I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a 4 slide toaster.

My mother-in-law gave us this toaster because she hated using our toaster oven just to toast a slice of bread. I wasn't happy about it (even though it was a gift!) because I hate having an extra appliance on the counter.  This is no little toaster.  It takes up some space, and while the chrome and black exterior is pretty enough to leave out, I always keep it in the cupboard.  The downside to this system, however, is that the metal dents easily.  I've already put a few dents in it, just from grabbing it in the wrong spot.  On the plus side, this is a great toaster.  I love having four slots.  The slots are extra-wide to accomodate even the most generous bagel.  Preset buttons for bagels and frozen items help to ensure an even toast.  On that note, I have not had any trouble with this appliance toasting unevenly, as some have stated.  We've had this one for about six months and it works great every time.

I really like my Black & Decker Toaster T4030!!!  And it had a lot to live up to.  Our eight year old Krups finally konked out on us and after yet another piece of burnt and unevenly cooked piece of toast we finally tearfully said good-bye to our Krups and haven't looked back since.  It has four openings that adjust for bagels and are wide enough for bagels. You can set the lightness to darkness setting anywhere from 1-6 and the settings work well, there is a difference between the settings.  The lower settings of 2-3 cook toast perfectly. It also has an option of choosing a toast method for bagels or frozen items which is also very nice. I really like the cancel button too which when pressed releases your food item immediately instead of having to force your levers up to pop your food out like a lot of other toasters. The only real negative is that it is a little larger than our last toaster but we can we can still fit it in our cupboard if we tilt it.  We do not keep it out on the counter, we put it away after using it.  If this appliance is something that you would keep out on your counter then make sure you have enough space for it. I would recommend this toaster and as long as it lasts for several years would buy another one to replace it.

After raising 4 kids and always having only a 2 slice toaster, when we moved into our first new home with only 1 child left with us, I finally decided I wanted a nice stainless steel 4 slice toaster! The only thing I do not like about it is the marks on the knobs for the temperature setting are a little hard to see...and sometimes I overcook my toast! Other than that...it is a great toaster! It looks beautiful on my counter with my other stainless appliances!

Upon renovating our kitchen a year or so back, I decided to get rid of our toaster oven because of the space it took up on the counter as well as because I didn't use the oven feature as much anymore as I had in the past it became a wasted space item. I looked around and found this Black and Decker 4 slice model to use for my basic toasting needs.  From some past experiences I had found that Black and Decker products weren't always to best quality, but I figured for the few times a week (sometimes less) that I use the toaster it should be fine. Unfortunately that isn't so.  The toaster's inside heating coils are not uniformly heating up.  Its not that the third coil on the left is ALWAYS out, but rather the outages sort of fluctuate which is really weird.  Some times a piece of toast will come out done nice on both sides, sometime only on one side, and other times just the top of one side and the bottom of the other. Since my needs for toasting aren't gourment I have not replaced this item and don't expect to until an entire side stays unheated consistently.  But for those that toast often, this isn't the product for you.

I LOVE this toaster... the settings dial ensures your toast will come out just as you like it every time!  It also lets you choose between toast or bagel setting.  The bagel setting will toast just one side of your bagel. Very nice and attractive toaster!
