An Okay Coffeemaker

4

We have this coffeemaker at work - and it's okay. It's not my favorite coffeemaker ever, and I think if I were choosing one for my own personal use in my own home, I'd probably go for something a little different. It's a nice, basic, no-frills, programmable coffeemaker, but for what it is used for - supplying a small office with a quick cup of coffee in the morning, its not bad. It holds plenty of coffee for everyone who wants some when they come in, it brews quickly, it's fairly easy to clean (you can easily wash the pot and just use a damp rag to wipe down the outside of the machine), it works day in and day out, and it looks nice enough sitting on the counter in the kitchen. It's great that it can be programmed, which is helpful because you can set everything up and then just leave it alone and let it do its thing while you get started on other tasks. So, in that way, it's kind of perfect for an office kitchen. It does its job well and that's pretty much what we needed it for. I think I'd recommend something a little fancier for home or personal use, but for a programmable office kitchen coffeemaker from a good quality brand, it's fine!

great coffee maker

My husband loves programming the coffee maker and having it freshly brewed in the early morning without even having to wake up and start the coffee. We grind the coffee ahead of time and get it ready the night before then have wonderful fresh coffee any time we want in the morning (or evening). The coffee pot is durable and sturdy and not flimsy at all. It's fairly easy to clean but can be challenging in a few small spots. However, the brand name says it all and it is very reliable. We've had it several years and even bought it used but it still has lots of life left in it and looks good too on our countertop. We wanted a good brand and definately are very satisfied with the Cuisinart coffeemaker.

My husband is a huge coffee drinker and drinks a pot a day so we definitely needed a 12 cup pot. The first one we had leaked and left grinds in the pot. With this coffee pot we have never had any grinds whatsoever in our coffee and it is quite effecient. It brews the coffee in less then 5 minutes. It is also very easy to clean. You just have to rinse the one side out with water. A few times I have gotten grinds under the filter (my fault for not having it completely open) and it was so easy to clean. It is light weight so you can just take the whole coffee maker minus the pot to the sink and rinse out. Every thing is safe to run under the water. We also have the black set and I feel like after all these years it still looks neat because there isn't a bunch of parts to clean. I also like that that top lifts up instead of slides in (like a lot of pots). I just feel like that is an added bonus and saves on time and mess (coffee grinds aren't falling out on the counter). I love this pot and I feel it is easy to use and clean and makes a great cup of coffee.

I love my Cuisinart coffee best when it makes itself!

My husband received this coffeemaker a couple of years ago as a gift and we have been very pleased with it. It reliably brews good coffee and it is easy to clean and use. The feature that I like best is it's programmable on and off switch. More often than not, I forget to set the machine before I go to bed, but when I remember, I love it! Waking up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee actually makes me want to get out of bed (even in the dead of winter)! I also like the fact that we don't have to purchase disposable coffee filters for this model. Instead, we just use the fine mesh filter that comes with the coffeemaker, emptying and rinsing it out after each use. This is nice because it cuts costs (every little bit counts!) and it's less wasteful than paper filters. I have noticed that I need to wait until a 10-cup pot is about half brewed before taking any coffee, because it needs the extra time to warm up.
