THe Kitchen Aid Professional 5 Mixer is a great addition to the kitchen. It is tough and durable and makes any job easier. We have had ours for about four years now and it still works and looks like new. Ours is the deep blue color and it is attractive just sitting on the counter even when it is not in use, plus you can fit all the little accessories that come with it into the mixing bowl and it doesn't make the kitchen look cluttered. We use ours for almost any mixing job, unless it is something small like two eggs- then I will either use a fork or get out a regular beater. But for any job with substance- this is the mixer we use. It is easy to clean-up. The bowls and whisks and things come off very easy, we just throw those in the sink. The stand itself is very heavy so I just take a cloth to it. Overall, this is a great stand mixer, I recommend it for anyone who does any baking at all, even if you are only going to use it once or twice a year. The stand is worth the money.
