I started using Philosophy The Big Skinny Self Tanning Firming Cream a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I have tried some other self tanners, because I dislike being out in the sun anymore but I miss that lovely bronze glow from when I was young. I've used a few that weren't bad, but this is now my favourite self tanner. After just a couple applications my skin started to have a beautiful glow, that actually looked like it came from the sun. There was no orange colour at all, just radiant skin. My skin is also noticeably firmer since I started using the Philosophy self tanner. Effectiveness This only took a few applications before I began to notice it, I love the all over soft glow that it gives me, it's subtle and beautiful, with no orange! Ease of Application This self tanner is very easy to use, just smooth it on where you want to glow a few times a week and you maintain that sun kissed skin. It doesn't wash off in water either as long as you use it a few times a week. Scent The cocoa scent is really quite nice, like sun tan lotion. I wish it was just a little less than it is, but it's much nicer than some other self tanners out there. Longevity I've been using it for awhile now and as long as I apply this a few times a week, I keep the healthy glow I get from this self tanner, and it's very even.

This self tanning cream works really well with giving me a natural bronze look. This product is very easy to apply but it does take a couple applications for one to get the full effect of this product. I like the creamy feel of this product and it has a nice consistency as well. The scent of this product is pleasant and doesn't smell of harsh chemicals. This product does not leave streak marks on my skin and overall I get an even bronze look over my entire body. I always wear gloves when I apply this product to my skin. Once this product is applied to my skin, I continue to have a bronze glow to my skin for well over a week. I have sensitive skin and I haven't had any problems so far as skin irritations of any kind while using this product. This product has given me really good results overall. I have recommend this product to several of my friends whom also like to have a natural bronze look.

Wow! I was shocked when I tried on the Philosophy The Big Skinny Self Tanning Firming Cream because it made my skin look so stunningly tan and sun kissed! It also seemed to make my face more slim? I don't even know how that's even possible. I apply this during the colder days out, because my face tends to be very pasty white and dry. After putting on the self tanning cream from philosophy, my face has this radiant glow! Who needs to go to tanning booths and expose your skin to so much radiation when you could buy this cream? It's also not as inexpensive obviously and there's a lot of product in it. I still have the tanning cream and I had it for about two months or so? Since I have sensitive skin, I was a bit skeptical about trying this out, but good news: no irritation! I gotta admit, although this product doesn't last that long and I think it's not waterproof either, it's still a great buy. I recommend this if you want a fast and easy way to tan your face and/or body.

Not every one can afford to fake and bake in a tanning bed at a salon. So what do you do when you wanna have that beautiful tan skin? BUY THIS PRODUCT! It makes your skin look so sexy and tan. You'll never want to waste time or money tanning without it! It does not dry you skin out like other self tanners. It does not look fake or orange, like other tanning products. It makes your skin soft, smooth, and tan. It is easy to apply to skin, and is mistake/streak proof. It helps your skin get that natural glow that every one wants! It is a very nice golden shade with some shimmer in it to sparkle up your skin! The color lasted hours and hours and dries fast ! It is not greasy or sticky. It goes on your skin and makes them look toned with a gold tan. Very good product!

It's important to understand what Philosophy's Big Skinny is...and is NOT.  It's not a sunless tanning product.  Therefore, it does not come out gradually, it is not waterproof, and it does not last for days.  It's a tinted lotion that you rub on (just like moisturizer) for **instant **color. Howver, when you use it in the manner it was designed for, it's amazing!I am a paleface (yup - red hair, blue eyes, freckles) and so I have tried almost every product out there for sunless tanning, from the moisturizers where the color gradually appears, to the full-on spray tan application by a pro in a spa.   I believe that different occasions call for different sunless tanning products.  The Big Skinny is great for last minute occasions where you don't have days or even hours to wait for your sunless color to arrive.  It's also my go-to "lazy" option - you can apply it just where you need it in the same amount of time it takes to put on lotion (and a few extra minutes to let it dry).  Finally, if you used some other sunless tanning product and got streaks, you can use this to fill in the area and instantly correct mistakes. The color is natural, not orange, and it does not have that sunless tanning funky smell (you know it..). Most importantly, for me, it does not have the sparkle/shimmer of most instant bronzers and therefore it's natural enough to wear in the daytime.  In the category of instant bronzing lotions, this is hands-down my favorite.

You don't need to worry about streaks and that stinky self tanner scent because this is just a temporary body bronzer that washes off in the shower. **Full View** I have had my share of disappointments with self tanners. Streaking, orange hues, and stinky products all turned me off of them. But I am ghostly pale most of the time and like to look a bit bronzed. When I saw **Philosophy The Big Skinny Tinted Body Shaper, **I was intrigued. It claimed to bronze the skin temporarily and make people look slimmer. I bought it for the color it might give me. The idea of a bronzer slenderizing me was not really a thought. **The Product **Philosophy claims **The Big Skinny **has no scent, no streaks, and no uneven color. This is all true. There is no scent at all to this bronzer. The product squeezes out of a fairly small hole in the top and is a sunny bronze color with absolutely no glitter or shimmer. The consistency is that of a good body moisturizing cream. This is **not** a self tanning product. It is a temporary bronzing cream that is of medium tint and easily applied. **My Use** The bronzer glides on well and looks great. It is mistake proof. You can see exactly where you are applying it and can easily blend it to look uniform. I used it on my legs, arms, and chest and it looked amazingly natural. I didn't look overly bronzed but I had a kiss of pretty, natural color with no glitter (which I hate). It isn't sticky or greasy and is a bit moisturizing. It feels cool and soothing on my skin. I really liked the way my legs looked - just a bit tan and somewhat airbrushed without looking unnatural. This product is great for wearing skirts and leaving pantyhose behind. Not only does it impart color but it covers minor imperfections, dimples, and even stubble. It is not waterproof but it does last in humid weather or in very hot conditions where you would perspire or feel damp. I saw no streaking or running and wore this bronzer several times on very hot days. The color lasts for hours. Just be sure to wait about five minutes before getting dressed so it can set. I saw no transference onto my clothes when I used this bronzer even if I only waited a minute or two before getting dressed. It dries almost instantly. You can remove this in the shower or with any body wash or cleanser. It does tend to fade a bit after several hours but it won't leave patchiness behind. I doubt I will use this product constantly but I do like it and will use it in all seasons especially when I am wearing a skirt or dress. I have pale legs and this bronzer definitely makes them look better without making me commit to a stinky self tanning session. I also love that there is no glitter or shimmer in this stuff and it is so natural looking. My skin feels hydrated and cool and looks sun kissed. As for looking slimmer - well that is all perception and I don't think this bronzer makes me look any slimmer per se. It does make me look better and that is really all I care about. **My Viewpoint **Good bye pantyhose, Hello **Big Skinny**! I have used a product called Airbrush Legs by Sally Hansen. That came in a spray can and was designed to eliminate pantyhose and color the skin. It was OK but I thought it made my legs look dull rather than hydrated and I didn't like the spray aspect. **The Big Skinny** is a great alternative to pantyhose that is easier to apply and looks more natural. It is also for the whole body and much less messy than the spray can stuff. I give this product ***4 stars* **but wish it were cheaper. But I wish that about all products that Philosophy makes. The ease of application, subtle, natural color, hydration, long lasting effects, and versatility make this product worth using if only for special occasions. Don't expect to look 20 pounds thinner because you used this. Just expect to look better.
