Excellent Washer!!

5

I have had this washer about 3 years now and it has done an excellent job. My teenage daughter has overloaded it on several occassions and it still held up and worked right the next time. I love it. It gets my clothes clean with no problems at all. Just toss in clothes and add detergent and it works very well. Energy Efficiency I have no complaints about the energy efficiency of this washer. It has worked very well and not made my energy bills any higher. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Cleaning Time The only cleaning I do is run a heavy duty cycle with bleach water and let it soak for about an hour and then rinse and it cleans it out very well. Very easy and simple to do. Performance I love the way it washes my clothes without ragging them out. The clothes come out looking great and very clean! Ease of Use The cycle dial is very self explanatory and it is very easy to use. No problem at all! Design I love the design of it and the use of the "old time" dasher. I feel the machines without the dashers do not get the clothes as clean as the ones that do have. It works well in limited space area. Durability This machine has taken abuse from my teenage daughter overloading it and still holds up nicely. It is a very durable machine!!

This Roper Washer cleaned my clothes even without detergent

The Roper brand is made by Whirlpool Corporation.  This Roper is the second one I have owned.  This model is the Heavy Duty, Super capacity model.  It has four water levels: small loads, medium loads, large loads, and super loads.  It has 8 cycles and two speeds, and three temerature settings for the wash, and a cold rinse cycle.  Settings are for normal, permanent press, and gentle.  It has a liquid chlorine bleach dispenser.  I usually use the super setting and fill the machine to capacity.  it can hold a dozen towels or two comforters easily and clean them well.  I like the small load when I need something clean and there is not a full load to do. I was reading the other day that today's washers were so good at agitation that detergent was not really even necessary to get clothes clean, so I decided to test it out.  I put a load of white clothes in the machine, including a very dirty sock and a dirty washcloth and washed as I usually do on the regular soil cycle.  When I took them out, I actually was surprised to see that the T-shirts actually looked brighter and the sock was as clean as such heavily ground in soiled socks get.  I think this is a good test of the effectiveness of this machine, and maybe I'll use less detergent from now on too.
